Day 1: Hanoi

Welcome to Hanoi, perhaps the most graceful, atmospheric and exotic capital city in Asia. Airport to hotel arrival transfer. The remains of the day offer free time for you to explore the wide tree lined avenues, beautiful lakes, ancient pagoda’s and thriving, historic old city, all easily navigated on foot.

Days 2-3: Hanoi

Spend today and tomorrow at leisure exploring the city in your own time and pace.

Day 4: Hanoi - Sapa

Spend the today at leisure exploring the city in your own time and pace. This evening at approx 9pm, board an overnight express sleeper train from Hanoi to the border town of Lao Cai (soft sleeper berth cabin).

Day 5: Sapa

The train pulls into Lao Cai at approximately 06:00am this morning, transfer to Sapa for breakfast. Located 1500m above sea level, Sapa is a former French hill station, nestled in the rugged Tonkinese Alps and surrounded by lush valleys and verdant rice paddy fields. This morning take a light trek to the hill tribe villages of Cat Cat, Ta Van and Cau May. Walking to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa, you meet some of the local ethnic minority people on their way to and from Sapa. These minority people, including the Red Zao, Hmong and Tay people, walk to Sapa to trade at the markets. Tonight you spend the night at the hotel in Sapa town.

Day 6: Sapa - Hanoi

Start your morning with a hike to a beautiful waterfall before continuing on to a picturesque Red Dao village. Red Dao women wear giant red scarves around their heads and their clothing is embellished with colourful red embroidery and coins. Spend the afternoon at leisure in Sapa before returning to Lao Cai to board the overnight train back to Hanoi.

Day 7: Hanoi

Upon arrival in Hanoi, we will transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 8: Hanoi - Halong Bay

This morning a scenic drive leads us to the stunningly beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. Boarding our traditional wooden junk boat we cruise the emerald waters soaking up the panoramic vista of the thousand or so karst limestone islands that stud the bay. Later opt for a refreshing swim in one of the many sheltered coves before taking row boats to the floating fishing village of Vong Vieng. Tonight, there's a Vietnamese cooking demonstration held on the sundeck before an impressive seafood dinner is served.

Day 9: Halong Bay - Hoi An

Start the day with a Tai Chi class on the sundeck or a traditional massage. After exploring a lofty grotto hidden beneath towering cliffs, we sail back to port. Here, meet our driver who will take you to Hanoi to catch a flight to Danang. Here, our local driver awaits to transfer you to your hotel in Hoi An.

Day 10: Hoi An

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore.

Day 11: Hoi An - Hue

Today we take the scenic Hai Van Pass (Road of the Ocean Clouds), which offers magnificent views of beaches to one side and lush hills to the other. Arriving in Hue in the afternoon we check into the hotel. This evening, take a scenic boat cruise along the Perfume River.

Day 12: Hue

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore.

Day 13: Hue - Saigon

Today we transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho CHi Minh. Arriving here, meet our driver who will take you to your hotel.

Day 14: Saigon

Today is at your leisure to explore the city.

Day 15: Saigon - Phan Thiet

Today we will drive you to Phan Thiet. Arriving here, check into your hotel and relax for the day.

Days 16-17: Phan Thiet

Today and tomorrow are at your leisure to relax and enjoy the Sun, Sand and Sea.

Day 18: Phan Thiet

Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to Saigon airport in time for your flight home.
