Day 1: Siem Reap

Welcome to the Cambodia! Upon arrival into Siem Reap, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Siem Reap

Visit Banteay Srey, built largely of red sandstone, an ideal medium for the elaborate decorative wall carvings which are still observable today. Ta Prohm Temple, unlike most other Angkor temples, has been left just as it was when rediscovered: a photogenic and atmospheric maze of trees growing out of temple ruins amidst jungle surroundings, making it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors. Explore the amazing temple complex and UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom. Continue to Bayon Temple. This 12th century masterpiece is a study in grandeur, its exterior gallery walls featuring extensive, superb bas-reliefs, particularly the East and South Galleries.

Day 3: Siem Reap

Wake up early in the morning to catch a beautiful sunrise over Angkor Wat. Return to hotel for a late breakfast before we explore Angkor Wat, easily the most famous and best-preserved of all temples within the Angkor complex. It is a massive three-tiered structure crowned by five lotus-like towers rising 65 meters from ground level. The centerpiece of any visit to the temples around Siem Reap, Angkor offers many iconic sights for amazing pictures. Afternoon free at leisure.

Day 4: Siem Reap

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kompong Kleang floating village, a settlement of over 20,000 people, mostly fisherman and traders. Floating over the canals, houses tower up to ten meters above the water, and you will constantly see waving hands of the friendly locals. Take your time and make the best of this opportunity to glimpse Cambodia’s countryside culture and family lifestyle, a contrast to the constant bartering you'll find in the cities. Aternoon free at leisure.

A temple in Battambang

Day 5: Siem Reap - Battambang

Here you will witness silk creation and the growing and harvesting of mulberries. Continue on to your Battambang hotel to check in.

Day 7: Phnom Penh

This morning you will visit the Toul Sleng Museum of Genocidal Crimes and the Killing Fields of ChoeungEk which both provide an insight into the insanity of the Pol Pot era. If you do not wish to visit these sites you can have some free time at the markets. This afternoon, enjoy a visit to the Royal Palace, the National Museum and the majestic Silver Pagoda, which houses intricate Buddha images. We then enjoy a boat cruise on the mighty Mekong River to enjoy the sunset.

Day 8: Phnom Penh - Kep

We drive towards Kampot, a riverside community in southern Cambodia. Kampot is renowned for producing one of the world's finest peppers. You will visit a Pepper plantation and taste this fantastic product, and have the chance to buy Kampot pepper straight from the source. Drive on to Kep, once the top beach destination in Cambodia. This now quiet beach town has a reputation for serving the best seafood in the country. While tourism is increasing here, Kep still has a very laid back vibe. After checking in to your hotel, you will be free to explore the town and its culinary treasures.
