Day 1: Hanoi

Good morning Vietnam! Upon arrival at Hanoi Airport you will be met and transferred to your city centre hotel. Known as the ‘Paris of the Orient’, Hanoi is the charming capital and cultural heart of Vietnam. Spend the remains of the day at leisure. Overnight - Hanoi @ Meracus Hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi - Halong Bay

Hanoi – Halong Bay. This morning a scenic drive leads us to the stunningly beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. Boarding our traditional wooden junk boat we cruise the emerald waters soaking up the panoramic vista of the thousand or so karst limestone islands that stud the bay. Later opt for a refreshing swim in one of the many sheltered coves before taking row boats to the floating fishing village of Vong Vieng. Tonight, there's a Vientnamese cooking demonstration held on the sundeck before an impressive seafood dinner is served. Overnight - Deluxe Junk Boat

Day 3: Halong Bay - Hanoi

Halong Bay - Hanoi - Hue. Start the day with a Tai Chi class on the sundeck or a traditional massage. After exploring a lofty grotto hidden beneath towering cliffs, we sail back to port. Arriving to Hanoi mid afternoon enjoy the afternoon at your leisure why not spend an hour or so is spent exploring the quixotic web of streets, known as the ‘36 streets of the old quarter’. Days 4-5: Hanoi

Enjoy the next 2 days at your leisure exploring Hanoi your way. Overnight Hanoi. @ Meracus Hotel.

Day 6: Hanoi - Hoi An

Spend the majority of today at your leisure. Tonight you will be transferred from your hotel to the railway station in time for your train south to Hoi An. Overnigh On Board Train.

Day 7: Hoi An

Good Morning and welcome to Hoi An. Enjoy the rest of today at your leisure. Overnight Hoi An. at VINH HUNG EMERALD RESORT 3* (Deluxe Pool View)

Day 8: Hoi An

An early morning this morning as your guide will pick you up from you hotel for a cycle tour and cooking class. Take a bike to the downtown, stop by Hoi An’s colorful central market. Here you will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later. So make sure your camera is handy. Around 10:00 cycle to Tra Que vegetable village. Enjoy a Welcome drink for a rest and walk through the vegetable gardens where local farmers work on their fields using the traditional methods of hundreds of years ago, no electrical machinery here. Now its time to cook. For lunch we we enjoy our creations. Return to Hoi An. Overnight Hoi An.

Days 9-13: Hoi An - Nha Trang

We transfer to Da Nang airport for the flight to Nha Trang. Upon arrival, met and transferred to hotel in Nha Trang. Enjoy the next couple of days relaxing by the Beach and spending it at your leisure. Overnight Nha Trang at the ASIA PARADISE HOTEL (Deluxe Room)

Day 14: Nha Trang - Saigon

Soak up as much sun as you can today you say good bye to the sun kissed beaches of Nha Trang and transferred to the airport in time for your departure flight to Saigon. Overnight Saigon at the GOLDEN CENTRAL SAIGON HOTEL 4* (Deluxe Room)

Day 15: Saigon

Good morning and welcome to Ho Chi Minh, which use to be called Saigon. After hotel check in and breakfast you will travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Often lead by a relative of a Viet Cong fighter in green fatigues you’ll walk the bush trails discovering grass covered trapdoors, ingenious, yet gruesome booby traps and hidden underwater entrances in rivers. Day 16: Saigon

Today enjoy exploring Saigon your own way at your leisure. Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City it's official name) is the vibrant, cosmopolitan hub of Vietnam and the original ‘Pearl of the Orient’. In this thriving metropolis, old and new collide. Gleaming sky scrapers and expensive restaurants, stand in stark contrast to the ancient pagodas, ramshackle markets and wandering monks. Famous landmarks include the French colonial landmarks Hotel de Ville and the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral in the main square and the lively Ben Thanh Market, which sells everything from food, clothing and bags to souvenirs. Day 17: Saigon - The Mekong Delta

We drive out of Ho Chi Minh City to avoid cycling through the heavily congested streets of this thriving metropolis. Once we are safely out of the suburbs we commence our cycling. Along the way to our destination of My Tho we stop to visit a colorful Cao Dai temple. At My Loi we transfer by ferry to cross one of the many tributaries of the Mekong River. Cycling enables us to stop along the way for photo opportunities or to explore areas not usually accessible if travelling by coach or rail. We continue cycling through a particularly picturesque part of the Delta known as Go Cong. From here it is a further 25km to the town of My Tho where we will stay for the night. Day 18: The Mekong Delta

Today we combine cycling with ferry rides to get to the fascinating destination of Tra Vinh. From My Tho we cycle the short distance to a ferry crossing, which takes us to Ben Tre Province. Once off the ferry we cycle for approximately 12km along typical country roads to another ferry and then a further 25km. After a final ferry journey we arrive in Tra Vinh. From here we have time to explore this most remarkable of areas. Tra Vinh is home to over 300,000 ethnic Khmer who maintain their cultural integrity, including their practice of Theravada Buddhism. Here we can see authentic Khmer pagodas including the Ong Met Pagoda as well as the colorful and ornate Chinese Ong Pagoda. Overnight in Tra Vinh @ Cuu Long Hotel

Day 19: The Mekong Delta - Saigon

After breakfast we continue from Tra Vinh and cycle through a beautiful landscape of rice paddies, lush green fields, waterways and fruit orchards. En route we pass through several small Delta towns before arriving at Vinh Long where we load our bikes back on to the support vehicle for the return journey to Ho Chi Minh City. Day 20: Saigon
