Departing after breakfast set out on a scenic drive to the picturesque UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay, taking in views of terraced rice fields, water buffalo and traditional Vietnamese villages along the way. Upon arrival board a private traditional wooden junk boat for a cruise of the bay, studded with a thousand or so beautifully unique karst limestone islands.
Begin the cruise with a tasty seafood lunch before stopping off at the beautiful Thien Cung Cave – nicknamed the Heavenly Palace Cave, famed for its many stalagmite and stalactites. Next visit the Dau Go Cave - also known as the Grotto of the Wooden Stakes, the largest cave in the bay, made up of three massive chambers each boasting their own unique features. Enjoy the remainder of the afternoon leisurely cruising on the bay before heading back to Hanoi in the early evening.
