Day 7
Ta Phrom, Banteay Srei

Early this morning opt to see Angkor Wat bathed in the spectacular golden light of sunrise. The temple expedition continues with visits to Banteay Samre, East Mebon, Pre Rup, Preah Khan, Banteay Kdei and the atmospheric Ta Prohm. Swallowed by the jungle, vast muscular roots envelop the crumbling towers and walls whilst the trees’ foliage dapples the temple in shadow. Nac had a great depth of knowledge on the country's history and explained with passion (and some wit) the culture and customs. He made Cambodia very real for me and gave me a real understanding of the country. He was also very caring of his group and made sure we had as much comfort and enjoyment as possible. A great experience for me!
