Itinerary

Days 1- 3 Welcome to Russia and the start of your holiday! Airport arrival and hotel check in. On day 2 we tour the stunning city of Tsars, with the whimsical Church on Spilled Blood, St Isaac’s Cathedral, St Savior Cathedral, Nevsky Prospect, Peter and Paul Fortress, home to the SS Peter and Paul Cathedral, housing the tombs of the Romanov monarchs and the impressive Hermitage. Day 3 we visit the stunning Peterof Palace before embarking on our cruise boat. Days 4 - 9 We sail beyond Lake Ladoga to Kizhi Island on Lake Onega exploring the open air museum, UNESCO protected churches and the fine arts museum. Over the coming days stops and sightseeing visits are made at Goritzy - the Monastery of St Cyril on the White Lake and the Museum of Icons. Yaroslavl (250km north - east of Moscow) - village market, Church of Elijah and Governor’s House. Uglich - walking tour, Kremlin, Church of St. Dimitry on the blood and Transfiguration Cathedral. Arrival into Moscow disembarkation afternoon of day 9. Days 10 -11 Venturing to the legendary Red Square we take a guided city tour of Moscow’s Kremlin and Armory. We continue to Christ the Savior Cathedral, the Moskva River embankment, observation platform of Sparrow Hills and other much loved sights dotted around the city. Day 11, our tour concludes and onward departure transfer to the airport.
