After a bit of a drive north from Amman, my tour group reached Umm Qais, a black basalt Roman City. What really took me by surprise though was the amazing view from here, we could see the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights, which I had not been expecting to see. For my first lunch in Jordan it was a perfect setting, and a magnificent view. This restaurant with the Umm Qais site is perfect to see Israel and Syria, and the chicken was delicious too!
