On The Go Tours nominated for two TNT Magazine Travel Awards.

The Rose City of Petra

Happy news! Not only is the sun beginning to peek out from behind the clouds here in foggy London town, but it turns out we’ve nominated for two TNT Magazine Travel Awards! The categories that we’ve been nominated for are Best Tour Itinerary (for our Road to Jordan tour) and Best Green Initiative (for Change for Children).

The TNT Travel Awards recognise excellence in travel for young adults, honouring tour operators, airlines, hotels, hostels and transport providers who have shown outstanding commitment to the youth travel market. That’s us!

Change for Children supports local causes in developing nations

We’re particularly proud of our Green Initiative nomination. Change for Children supports local causes in Egypt, India and China by providing all our passengers with an envelope in which to place all their unwanted local currency. We then put this money to work by purchasing clothes, educational supplies and other desperately needed items for underprivileged children.

As for the Best Itinerary nomination, we’re very proud to present The Road to Jordan! Over 16 days, see the pyramids, the Valley of the Kings, cruise the Nile in a felucca and soak up the sun in Dahab. Then bob about in the Dead Sea, explore the majestic Rose City of Petra in Jordan, relax in Wadi Rum and finally return to Cairo and see the Egyptian Museum. It’s the ultimate tour of Egypt and Jordan!

It’s all very well being nominated, but we actually want to win these awards. To do that, we need you to vote for us! So please, take a look at the TNT Travel Awards website and cast your vote. The event will be held at Vinopolis, London Bridge, on the 24th of March 2011.

Thanks everyone! Happy travels!
