ANZAC Day is coming up again on the 25th of April. In commemoration of this important event, you’re invited to go along to the ANZAC Ball on Friday April 15th, a black tie event held at Australia House in London to commemorate the sacrifices made by servicemen and women during wartime.
The ANZAC Ball is one of London’s largest ANZAC celebrations. Besides dancing the night away and enjoying a sumptuous banquet, the event includes speeches, a minute’s silent reflection and a charity auction with fantastic prizes to raise money for London Legacy. Tickets are £60, and a portion of the ticket price goes towards the good work that Legacy provides.
Legacy is a voluntary organisation supported by veterans and people from all walks of life that has been caring for the families of deceased veterans and dependants of the Australian Defence Forces since 1923. They have 115,000 widows and 1900 children and dependants with disabilities under their wing and London Legacy, as the organisation’s overseas branch, looks after widows and their families in 37 countries around the world.
Show your support for the good work of Legacy, honour the ANZAC spirit, and have some fun! And if you’d like to experience ANZAC Day at ANZAC Cove, head to the On The Go Tours ANZAC page for full details of tours to Turkey and beyond.
