For those of you who aren’t familiar with TED Talks, they really are an incredible resource, a great way of taking in the insights of some highly interesting people without reading reams of text online.
Andrew Evans had a dream to see Antarctica, and talks here about how he didn’t let anything get in the way of his ambition. Although he had to deal with countless obstacles – floods, dangerous road conditions, and unreliable transport – he finally achieved his dream of travelling from New York, through Central America and South America, all the way to Antarctica: by bus!
Andrew also expands on the importance of keeping things real – not allowing our ideas of travel to overshadow the real thing through our constant exposure to the wonders of the world through technology.
There are easier ways of achieving your travel dreams – you don’t have to catch busses all the way to Antarctica – but this video really gets our feet itching!
What’s your dream destination, and how would you like to get there?
