Goa is famous around the world for its palm-fringed beaches. One of India’s hot-spots, Goa was controlled by the Portuguese until 1961, when India invaded and liberated the area. This colonial past is most evident in Goa’s plazas, cathedrals and architecture. The perfect spot for a beach holiday, Goa is a great spot to catch the sun and recharge one’s batteries.
