Kenya is hosting this year's prestigious World Travel Awards Africa Gala Ceremony.
Online voting has already opened to determine those firms and organisations who excel in travel, tourism and hospitality in the Africa region.
Organisers of the awards are encouraging both trade and consumers to vote, with the winners revealed in Nairobi on October 15.
Various categories include "Leading Destination" and "Leading Safari Lodge" among others.
The awards ceremony venue is aimed at further raising Kenya's profile as a safe destination, especially among those enjoying specialist tours concentrating on safaris.
The number-one tourism attraction, especially with visitors on family holidays, is the Masai Mara National Reserve, the country's most popular game park.
Majestic zebra and wildebeest can be seen here roaming freely.
World Travel Awards - known as "the Oscars of the travel industry" - is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
African travel, tourism and hospitality companies from 31 countries will compete for the leading accolades culminating in a ceremony endorsed by the Kenya Tourism Board.
