Belize's burgeoning reputation for magnificent Caribbean beaches and friendly, laid-back and accommodating locals has been reflected in record tourism figures just published.
The number of people visiting the Central American paradise between January and March hit an all-time best 92,991.
This represents a rise of 13% on the same quarter last year.
In March alone Belize saw the number of visitors pass 35,000 for the first time.
It's not difficult to see why the country is proving a great favourite among tourists on family holidays and group tours.
Lush rainforests, the Mayan temple ruins and world-class diving opportunities - including the western hemisphere's biggest barrier reef - are all great lures for holidaymakers.
The nation also boasts the largest cave system in Central America.
Communication and organising a holiday here are far simpler because Belize is the only country in the area where English is the official language.
