Beyonce will be rocking Brazil when she headlines the opening night of a world-famous festival.
Rock In Rio in Brazil will also host heavy metal mainstays Metallica and Iron Maiden among the headline acts, alongside "The Boss" Bruce Springsteen.
Beyonce's performance will kick-off events in Rio de Janeiro on September 13, with a host of other acts set to wow the crowds between then and the festival's closing night on September 22.
Rock In Rio began in 1985 with performances by AC/DC, Queen and Rod Stewart. The festival has been staged in Brazil in 1991, 2001 and 2011, while Iberian capitals Madrid and Lisbon have also played host.
Argentina and Mexico will also stage the music bash during 2014, while Brazil again hosts it the following year.
Global sales of tickets for this year's festival do not begin until April. Springsteen plays on September 15, Metallica a few days later and Iron Maiden are closing the event on September 22.
Playing the festival for the sixth time, Metallica said in a statement: "We're back with another show announcement and unlike last week's posting, we're giving you almost a whole year's notice.
"We are super psyched to be returning to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for our sixth Rock In Rio on September 19, 2013. How's that for advance planning?!"
