Seasoned visitors on trekking holidays to Cambodia, Thailand and Laos will be familiar with the wildlife-based tourist delights they have to offer.
Now these destinations are about to be enjoyed by TOWIE star Lydia Bright.
Bright, 22, recently swapped her designer bag for a backpack and is already having the time of her life on a five-week humanitarian trip around South-East Asia with her sister, Georgia.
She is looking forward to making private journeys with her backpack to animal sanctuaries in Cambodia, Thailand and Laos.
Among the indigenous wildlife she could see are elephants, tigers, leopards and wild water buffalo.
Bright, speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, said: 'It's always been something I've wanted to do, but I started on TOWIE so young that I never had chance to."
So the celebrity said now is the time for her to get a taste for such adventure.
Bright added: "We're travelling to Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. We're going to go work in orphanages, animal sanctuaries, party and have fun."
She has already visited Malaysia's magnificent Batu Caves.
Bright posted a range of photographs to her Instagram account on Sunday which give a snapshot of her travels.
Lydia, sporting a fetching purple tribal print dress and a bum-bag, is pictured at the summit of the cave steps with her arms outstretched.
An accompanying note says: "This is how happy I was when I got to the top."
Bright, like many tourists to South-East Asia, is obviously embracing nature on her travels.
She is pictured in another shot posing with an exotic butterfly balanced on one beautifully manicured finger.
Bright wrote: "Me and my new bestie at the butterfly gardens."
She has also been savouring the region's social scene and customs, writing of her bar experience there: "Lychee Martinis, we had to add a bit of glamour to our backpacking experience."
