Mexican rock legend Carlos Santana is set to perform his guitar magic on the closing weekend of Rock'N India.
The festival, held in Bangalore and organised by DNA Networks, does not yet have a confirmed date or venue for Santana, whose songs Black Magic Woman and Maria Maria are among his many international hits.
"He will be performing as a part of the closing weekend of the Rock'N India concert in October but we are unsure about the dates. Thrash metal band Slayer will be performing at the opening weekend on October 20," said Catherine Dequadros of DNA Networks.
While Santana's official website has not been updated to include this news, there is a lot of excitement about his Rock'N India performance.
Soulmate band member Rudy Wallang said: "I'm a huge fan of Santana and I even wrote a tribute piece on him. His drum solo at the Woodstock Festival almost four decades ago remains a favourite."
Once confirmed, Santana will join the list of established musicians to perform at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore, including Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits and Pink Floyd legend Roger Waters.
