Do you know the way to San Jose? Hundreds of thousands of tourists do but it's the Costa Rican one they're heading for, not the Californian one of pop song fame.
For the increasingly popular Costa Rican city has been ranked the sixth most important destination city in Latin America.
Only Buenos Aires, Sao Paolo, Mexico City, Lima and Bogota ranked above it in the MasterCard Global Destinations Cities Index 2012.
With the index analysing visitor numbers and their spending in 132 cities worldwide, the rest of the top 10 in Latin America was made up of Rio de Janeiro, Caracas, Santo Domingo and Quito in Ecuador.
Costa Rica has grown in popularity among tourists on trekking holidays and specialist tours with San Jose seeing a massive growth in tourism over the past 45 years, visitors drawn by its tourists attractions, hotels, restaurants and casinos.
According to the second annual report - written by Dr Yuwa Hedrick-Wong, MasterCard Worldwide's global economic advisor - the 1.3 million visitors predicted to arrive in San Jose this year will spend some $1.3 billion
And it showed the Costa Rica city had seen a growth rate of 15%, behind Quito (26.3%), Bogota (24.8%) and Rio de Janeiro (16.1%).
