Holidaymakers on city breaks to Da Lat can look forward to some of Vietnam's liveliest festivals and events under the same umbrella later this year.
For the first time this year, visitors will benefit from a tourism map for the Central Highlands metropolis to help them get around even better during the Lam Dong province culture festival week scheduled for late 2013.
These will be given free to holidaymakers and travel firms, and provide detailed, precise data on the city's destination infrastructure, showing tour routes, typical local tourism products, approved accommodation and restaurants.
It also updates Da Lat's current maps and guide books.
Huge tourist-drawing events will include:
- the fifth Da Lat flower festival
- the first Vietnam-ASEAN UNESCO heritage festival
- Da Lat City's 120th anniversary
- the announcement of the 2014 National Central Highlands - Da Lat Tourism Year.
Last year, the Culture, Tourism and Trade Exchange Week took place in Da Lat City from December 30 to January 5.
It featured a trade fair, cuisine festival, Da Lat history exhibition and an arts and culture exchange programme with Ho Chi Minh City.
