The launch of easyJet flights to Egypt has been marked with the special appearance of a camel at London Stansted Airport.
Passengers checking in at the airport on Monday morning witnessed the surprising sight, which the airline's UK commercial manager Hugh Aitken described as the ideal way to celebrate the new Sharm el-Sheikh flights.
The Sharm el-Sheikh service is the latest addition to the easyJet portfolio running from Stansted, following on from the introduction of flights to Marrakech in Morocco and Sofia in Bulgaria as part of the airline's expanded summer schedules.
More than 1,000 passengers travelled on the new services just last week, it was revealed.
"We're fully committed to making travel to more varied destinations, further away from home, easy and affordable," Mr Aitken said.
He added that Sharm el-Sheikh and Marrakech are the first destinations reachable from London Stansted Airport offering year-round sunshine.
