India's cricketers have been left with a fight on their hands to avoid a series defeat against England after the tourists won the Third Test.
After a seven-wicket victory, England are 2-1 ahead of their hosts with the final Test set to get under way in Nagpur on Thursday at 04:00 GMT.
England had bowled out India for 247 and needed 41 for the victory, which Nick Compton and Ian Bell duly came up with to set up a potentially history-making final Test.
Should England win again it will be the first time India have lost three matches in a home series since the West Indies came away with a dominant 3-0 win back in 1983.
It has been an astonishing change in fortunes for England, who were comfortably beaten by India in the first Test in Ahmedabad but have gone on since then to outplay their opposition.
The latest victory saw England manage to subdue India captain Mahendra Dhoni's team on day one, before making a massive first innings total and again restricting India's batting capability in the second innings.
England fans taking group tours in India to watch the cricket must not be able to believe their luck, given their team's turnaround since that first Test - but only time will tell whether England can go all the way and achieve a historic series win in India for the first time in 27 years.
