The increasing tourist fervour for one of India's most futuristic city breaks has been matched by industry judges.
They have voted Lavasa, India's first planned hill city, top in three different award categories recently.
The destination scooped Best All-Seasons Destination and Best Exhibition & Convention Centre-West India awards at Today's Traveller Awards staged at New Delhi's Taj Mahal Hotel.
These prizes honour outstanding achievers in the corporate, entertainment and travel sector.
Lavasa was also crowned Best Print & Promotional Material at the Travel & Tourism Fair 2013 staged in Ahmedabad.
The metropolis is quickly becoming a jewel in the Maharashtra state's tourism crown in western India.
More than 700,000 tourists visited Lavasa last year and numbers have already hit 500,000 this year from January-August alone.
So why is Lavasa becoming so cherished by tourists and judges alike?
It blends the best of both worlds, new and old.
The city boasts state-of-the-art 21st century design but can offer traditional pursuits which make it particularly attractive to tourists on trekking holidays.
Nature trails and walks fuse with more adventurous activities such as paintballing, rock climbing and abseiling.
Watersports and train and bus rides to view the city are also very popular.
Lavasa's image has been further enhanced by becoming the location in the Bollywood movie Mental, starring Salman Khan, which is due for release next year.
The hill city is also home to Lavasa International Convention Centre (LICC), which is situated on the picturesque lakefront at Dasve, the first town at Lavasa.
The centre, famed for its architecturally stunning exteriors, latest meeting facilities, impeccable service and world-class amenities, is the perfect setting for meetings, conventions, exhibitions, launches and seminars.
A new dedicated tourist information centre has just been set up to cater for the increasing numbers of holidaymakers who are flocking to the city.
