Goa prepares for second India Resort Fashion Week

9th Oct 2012

India is gearing up for a four-day fashion extravaganza as the India Resort Fashion Week (IRFW) prepares to return to Goa for a second time.

Organisers have promised 30 shows, one international designer slot every day throughout the duration of the week and a beach music festival for tourists and fashionistas alike.

Nidhi Choudhary, managing director for the IRFW, said the show will bring "a bigger, better and exciting new twist to fashion, music and style" when it gets under way on 28 November.

Choudhary also confirmed the Candolim beach location will be divided into three main areas for the festival - the Fashion Show, the Fashion Village and the Music Festival.

"SandKastle, a beach music festival, will see a robust line up of international and Indian artists performing," added Choudhary. "In addition, there is an experiential retail arena known as India Resort Fashion Village, which is open to all."

Aman Swetta, creative show director of IRFW, said: "Our fashion week ramp is set against a natural backdrop of the ocean along with a fashion music festival which will have international celebrity DJs and musicians with special acts and performances."
