Travellers to Goa can now add white-water rafting to their long list of possible activities.
Although conditions on the Surla-Mhadei River are somewhat dependent on the weather, they can be among the best for rafting in all of India. Those interested in hitting the rafts during their luxury holidays and tours in Goa can receive training and safety equipment from Southern River Adventures.
Southern River Adventures boss John Pollard told TavBizMonitor: "On the advanced stretch we have as many as 35 rapids between class two and four, and on the easier stretch we have at least 15."
Tourists initially travel to the starting point of the river at Valpoli. The location offers stunning views of the countryside and is a star attraction of south India.
With the river offering the greatest frequency of rapids in the region, rafters can then enjoy the thrill as some of Goa's most beautiful scenery rushes by at high speed.
