Gotye to perform live in India

10th Dec 2012

Australian pop sensation Gotye is set to play his first ever gig in India in the new year.

The singer-songwriter will perform at the blueFROG club in New Delhi on February 6 for the finale of Oz Fest, the biggest festival ever held in India dedicated solely to Australian culture.

Gotye's fans will no doubt relish their first chance to see him perform live in the country after a whirlwind year for the star that has seen him pick up three Grammy nominations.

His hit record Making Mirrors went past triple platinum in Australia, hit the top 10 in 25 countries and has been nominated for the esteemed Record of the Year gong at the Grammys.

Not bad for a record written and recorded at Gotye's home studio. His surprise smash hit single Somebody That I Used To Know has achieved sales of 13 million around the world.

Gotye has just rounded off an incredible year with a world tour that has taken in a number of legendary venues, such as Le Zenith in Paris, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

As one of the hottest properties on the music scene right now, it looks sure to be the case that Gotye's fans in India will have to act fast to secure tickets to his February gig.
