Egypt is the perfect "hideaway" according to Hollywood A-list actress Angelina Jolie.
She visited the country with fellow star Brad Pitt in early June, flying in to Aswan Airport on a private jet and headed for Upper Egypt.
Welcomed in the terminal's VIP lounge, the pair enjoyed the luxuries of Aswan's Old Cataract Hotel and visited sites such as the Edfu Temples, the Philae Temple and Kom Ombo during their stay.
The couple also apparently visited the Nubian Museum and dined at the popular Nubian Beach restaurant.
Jolie, who is soon to play ancient Egyptian Queen Cleopatra in a forthcoming film, said: "I'm converted completely on Egypt, this would be my hideaway place."
Egypt's tourist hotspot Sharm El Sheikh has recently been enhanced by a super-resort and further plans include the development of 20,000 residential properties and a number of hotel complexes.
Sporting facilities are set to include an 18-hole Colin Montgomerie golf course and an international tennis academy.
Jolie has been promised assistance by Minister of Tourism, H.E. Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour when she visits Egypt again in August.
