Latest statistics reported by The Examiner have shown tickets for Madonna have outsold Lady Gaga by three to one in Latin America.
Although the tickets for Madonna's MDNA tour are three times more expensive than Lady Gaga's concerts, the pop icon has seen sold-out crowds of more than 55,000 at a number of venues.
Fans of Lady Gaga in Latin America have still attended her shows in their thousands though, with figures showing 17,000 tickets were sold for a concert in Peru, with thousands more thought to have attended for free as part of ticket sale promotions.
The Examiner claimed similar figures had been seen at a number of venues across Latin America for Lady Gaga's shows. The 26-year-old singer, who is set to launch her 'Born This Way Ball' tour in North America next month, enjoys huge success in countries across Europe as well as in South Africa.
The figures come after Madonna reportedly claimed Lady Gaga's Born This Way bore similarities with her own Express Yourself.
Gaga was also reported to have turned down an offer to perform with Madonna on the MDNA tour.
