Mexican beaches and heiress set pulses racing

21st Mar 2013

Mexico has been the romantic setting for what TV celebrity Tamara Ecclestone described as her "perfect day".

It ended suitably with the presenter, socialite and model going horse back riding along the coastline with fiance Jay Rutland.

Relishing what she tweeted as a "perfect day", the daughter of Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone then told her Twitter followers: "Best last night in Mexico".

She discovered just why Mexico boasts the highest tourism-based income in Latin America.

The beauty of beaches such as Tulum, Puerto Vallarta, Playa del Carmen, Cancun and, of course, Elvis Presley's favourite, Acapulco have been attracting the rich, the famous and the not-so famous on group tours and tailor-made holidays for years.

The heiress, 28, was pictured on Saturday showing off her curves in a string triangle bikini, exhibiting her toned abs, soaking up the sun's rays and kissing Rutland, 31.

Wearing her hair up in a tangled bun, Ecclestone shielded her eyes from the glare of the sun with a pair of aviator-styled shades and flashed several pieces of gold jewellery, including her engagement ring.

Last month the heiress confirmed her engagement to Rutland, who proposed only one month after they met.

Ecclestone told Hello! Magazine their engagement has been very sudden. She said: "I get that there are people who won't understand that and will read things into it."
