Holidaymakers looking for inexpensive air tickets from South India to Singapore now have a greater choice of flights with the launch of new services from SIA, SilkAir.
The carrier is now running three new weekly flights from Hyderabad to Singapore.
SilkAir has taken its seven existing weekly flights on the route up to 10. This is the third time the airline has expanded the service in three months - an indication that interest in the route has risen steadily.
With the new services taken into account, the total of weekly flight options to Singapore from 11 Indian airports has gone up to 97. The airline also intends to launch more flights throughout India, with Pune, Pune, Jaipur and Lucknow believed to be among possible locations.
The new flights to Singapore connect Indian travellers to some 96 world destinations. In a special offer, the carrier is giving airport shopping vouchers to customers who are catching a connecting flight from Singapore.
