Regular flights to Moscow and Sri Lanka are among a number of new overseas routes that will be launched in the UK this year.
Low-cost airline easyJet is to introduce a new service from Manchester to the Russian capital at the end of March and will also launch regular flights connecting Moscow with Gatwick later in the year.
Meanwhile, British Airways (BA) announced a new service from Gatwick to the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo from the end of March.
Those planning to travel even further will be pleased to hear that KLM is launching a new service from Cardiff airport to Fukuoka, Japan, in spring - its third route connecting the Welsh airport to the Asian country after Tokyo and Osaka.
Other new routes include BA flights from Heathrow to Alicante in Spain and Palma in Majorca and from Gatwick to Lanzarote and Tenerife.
KLM/Air France also plans a twice-daily service between Kent's Manston Airport and Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam.
