New travel show to showcase South Africa

25th Sep 2012

The allure of South Africa will be shared with TV viewers across the UK as a new four-part TV series offers the lowdown on the country's best destinations and holiday activities.

Charley Boorman's African Adventure will premiere to the media in London on 23 October before arriving on Channel 5 this autumn.

Boorman and his team take viewers on an epic 6,000 mile motorcycle adventure across varied terrain, beginning with the country's southern coastline before travelling along the borders with Mozambique, Botswana and Namibia.

He tries out some of South Africa's most unique and adventurous activities such as cage swimming with great white sharks, going back to nature in the Kalahari desert and trekking through bushland in search of elephants and rhinos.

The presenter is in his element and believes South Africa is "one of the most beautiful places on earth" due to its delicious food, friendly people and exciting activities.

He added: "I feel so privileged and excited to have been able to return to really explore it further."
