Advance orders to attend the 2013 Rock in Rio festival sold out within an hour, organisers have announced.
All 80,000 advance cards for the music festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, sold out in a record time of 52 minutes.
The advance cards proved to be a hot ticket for fans, with holders benefiting from the right to buy their tickets early and gain priority for which days of the Rio festival they will attend before box offices open to the general public.
Anyone wanting to incorporate a memorable day or two of live music into their tailor made holiday in Brazil should be ready for something of an epic event, with Rock in Rio potentially attracting 550,000 fans across its seven days.
Bruce Springsteen will be wowing the crowds at next year's event, while other artists such as Ben Harper, Iron Maiden and Metallica are also already confirmed acts.
Music fans should note the remaining 515,000 tickets will go on sale in April after programming for the event has been confirmed, when buyers will be able to select which days they wish to attend.
The latest instalment of the Rio de Janeiro festival last year pulled in some 700,000 fans.
