Pop superstar Rihanna delighted fans in Mexico City as she kicked off the first date of her new tour.
The Barbadian singer played a sell-out show at the city's Plaza Condesa for the inaugural performance of her 777 Tour.
It was a relatively small venue for the stadium-filling star, who treated fans to hits such as Birthday Cake, Cockiness and Talk That Talk.
Addressing her fans, Rihanna - dressed all in black - dedicated Wait Your Turn, from her 2009 album Rated R, to her Mexico City "Navy", lamenting the fact it had been "too long" since her last visit.
The single, with its sing-a-long chorus of "the wait is over", proved a big hit with the crowd as they held their hands and mobile phones aloft.
It was followed by another back-to-back set of hits - Man Down, Only Girl in the World and Disturbia.
The tour may be designed to promote her latest record, but it wasn't until mid-way through the set that the singer launched into Fresh Out the Runway from her new album, Unapologetic.
Rihanna's ambitious new tour will see her play seven dates in seven different countries, within the space of just seven days.
