The funky sounds of the Rio Carnival have inspired Kanye West and Will Smith to join forces and record a new song, according to reports.
The superstar rappers took a break from partying at the world-famous fiesta to head to a local studio in the Brazilian tourism hotspot and perform a Latin-inspired track.
Studio owner DJ Batutinha said Kanye wanted to learn more about the funk in Rio. Batutinha said a DJ friend referred the rapper to him.
The DJ said Men In Black, Independence Day and Ali star Will went along with Kanye to the studio to get to know the sound of the funk better.
Will, whose songs include Men In Black, Gettin' Jiggy Wit It and Just The Two Of Us, and Kanye are thought to be planning on completing the song in the US.
Kanye, 35, whose hits number Gold Digger, Touch The Sky and Stronger, recently announced a one-off date at London's Hammersmith Apollo on Sunday, February 24.
But tickets sold out almost immediately and another gig has been scheduled for the day before, according to the New Musical Express.
