Snoop Dogg thrills crowds in India

14th Jan 2013

American rapper Snoop Dogg was running out of superlatives to describe India after completing his whistle-stop two-date tour over the weekend.

The superstar, 41, thrilled crowds in Pune on Friday, January 11, and New Delhi two days later, and it seems the "Doggfather" was equally full of praise for India and his fans.

"India is beautiful. This is all what I heard, everything I expected, beautiful scenery, the people are beautiful," Snoop told reporters before his Pune concert.

"I wanted to come to countries I have never been to before that appreciate my music and love me for what I do, so what I wanted to do was to start off the year by going to places that had never seen Snoop Dogg before."

The Death Row Records product even hinted at the prospect of starring in Bollywood after collaborating with top Indian actor Akshay Kumar in the 2008 film Singh Is Kinng.

He added: "I love Bollywood. I would most definitely want to do something again. I had fun with Akshay Kumar in Singh Is Kinng, and I am looking forward to doing it again.

"If any Bollywood directors would love to have me in a movie, I am ready. I am a fan of Bollywood music and dance. It is a great time to do some more work here."
