South Africa's second-biggest city has announced an upgrade to printed routes that should assist holidaymakers on cycling-based specialist tours.
Cyclists on city breaks to Cape Town can already enjoy the Cape Argus Cycle Tour and the less competitive Moonlight Mass - as a spectator or competitor.
Now Ride Your City has announced that its Cape Town Bicycle Map is now available online - in both website and smart phone formats.
It includes all the information cycling tourists need presented on the print map, as well as extra functions.
This include pan and zoom, bookmarks, search, and pop-up information boxes.
Cyclists looking for parking can now click on a "bicycle parking" icon and see a picture.
Gail Jennings, sustainable mobility specialist and publisher of the Bicycle Map series, said the upgraded map, in print since 2011, was developed to highlight cycling infrastructure and connecting routes to encourage more people to cycle.
She added: "We have identified a network of safer, connected routes (recommended by people who cycle regularly on our roads), located bicycle infrastructure, parking, and bicycle-friendly venues, and included information about cyclists' rights, responsibilities and signage."
If cycling's not your thing, then Cape Town, which recently won the World's Top City in Africa and the Middle East category in the Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards Hall of Fame, has something for everyone.
Attractions feature scenic drives, beautiful beaches, including Camps Bay, tempting wine farms and cultural sites offering over 100 art galleries and a glittering diamond museum.
