Stars including Rihanna, Iron Maiden and Snoop Dogg will take to the stage at a stamina-sapping music festival in Istanbul this summer.
Vodafone Istanbul Calling will run between May 1 and August 15 and is set to attract musicians and music lovers from across the globe to Turkey.
The 120-day epic will see artists from an astronomical range of genres take over the "City of Intrigue" for nearly 20 events, concerts, panels, workshops and parties.
July 7 is Hip-Hop Day, with Snoop Dogg, CeeLo Green and rapper Nas busting their moves, while the likes of Placebo, Sigur Rós, the National, the Prodigy and DJ Tiesto are also scheduled to perform.
The festival will take place in venues such as BJK Inonu Stadium and Parkorman, with smaller events featuring in the likes of Babylon, Babylon Lounge, Salon IKSV, Macka Park, Salt, and Pera Museum.
Seven million foreign visitors arrived in Istanbul in 2010, when it was named European Capital of Culture.
The city's historic centre, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, remains the main draw, but its cultural and entertainment hub can be found across the city's natural harbour, the Golden Horn, in the Beyoglu district.
