Four Vietnam venues feature in a table of Asia's 25 leading destinations announced this week.
Hanoi (14th), Ho Chi Minh City (15th), Hoi An (17th), and Ha Long (25th) were chosen from 412 outstanding places across the globe based on millions of tourist reviews and opinions.
Hanoi, the Vietnamese capital, is awash with fascinating cultural sites such as its museums (Vietnamese Women's Museum and Fine Arts Museum) and temples (Temple of Literature and Bach Ma Temple).
Ho Chi Minh City, which is the country's largest city, provides sights such as the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum, as well as a host of ornate pagodas.
The ancient town of Hoi An is turned into a fairytale full moon setting once a month when street lamps and fluorescent lights are switched off to be replaced with the warm glow of lanterns made of silk, glass and paper, casting a magical splendour that enchants tourists on family holidays.
The limestone-rich Ha Long Bay, also known as Dragon Bay, entices visitors with its clear blue waters, islands, mountains and cave network.
All four appeared in the list in the TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice: Asia Destination Awards ceremony in Singapore on Tuesday (June 18).
