Start your day early at your Brisbane meeting point, then travel by minivan about one hour south, passing through the Numinbah Valley to reach Natural Bridge, your first stop in Springbrook National Park.
Take in the naturally formed arch rock and the Cave Creek waterfall that plunges into a pool near Natural Bridge. Keep an eye out for Australian water dragons (a lizard), Australian brush-turkeys, goannas and pademelons (similar to wallabies) in this area.
Next up, follow your guide on a 2.5-mile (4-km) Twin Falls Circuit walk, passing stunning waterfalls and lush stretches of sub-tropical temperate rainforest, venturing a little further than many visitors go to reach spectacular viewpoints.
Enjoy a delicious lunch while overlooking the region’s largest waterfall, Purlingbrook Falls. Then walk through an Antarctic beech forest with 2000-year-old trees, one of the few remaining links to the ancient forests of Gondwana, which grew some 510 to 180 million years ago. From a viewpoint that looks over northern New South Wales, your guide points out sights such as Mt Warning, a remnant of the Tweed Shield volcano.
During your time in Springbrook National Park, you’ll have the chance to take a dip in the fresh cool water of one of the many natural pools. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife sightings, with wallabies and a variety of birds regularly seen, and rare sightings of animals such as platypus, spotted quoll and wombats.
Your informative guide shares commentary about the rainforest, wildlife and plants throughout the park, which shelters more than 500 vertebrate animals and 1,700 species of flowering plants. Your tour ends with return to the original departure point.
Please note: Walks are suitable to people with a moderate level of fitness. Some sections include stairs, uneven ground or creek crossings over wet rocks. It is advised to take a raincoat in all seasons. While every attempt is made to visit everything on the itinerary, inclusions are subject to change without notice.

“
Nothing fancy about it, but the tour was amazing! Guide Clayton grew up in the area and was very knowledgeable. They had just had rain the day before, so there were lots of waterfalls.”

“
Beautiful trip to the National Park. It did take an hour and half to get to the National Park on the bus. The ride was definitely worth it....the views are wonderful, the hike to the waterfalls is worth the effort. We saw lots of wildlife.....even a 6 foot long python! Out tour guide was quite knowledgeable and enjoyable.”

“
It was a wonderful walk with Clayton as our tour guide. He gave us many information about the place and it feels like we are having the walk with a friend rather than a tour guide. Highly recommend to take the guide with Clayton and his kids.”

“
This tour was excellent. Our tour guide Ed made the whole experience delightful. Unlike another tour I took with a different company, on this tour the guide truly "guided" the entire day and didn't just drop us off and leave us to wander. I learned a lot about the flora and fauna of Australia and though I was traveling alone there was a great sense of camaraderie within the group thanks to the fun atmosphere Ed created. The rainforest was so beautiful and we had plenty of time to enjoy the view at each location. A great way to spend the day!”

“
An ideal way to see something of this beautiful national park in a day. You visit a variety of places in the morning and get to see beautiful views, glow worms, feed lorikeets - and then in the afternoon it's a proper two-hour bushwalk (with a break in the middle somewhere beautiful) so you feel like you did more than jump on and off a minibus all day. The guide was knowledgeable, fun, full of enthusiasm, it's a small company with a personal touch. Highly recommended.”

“
Although the weather wasn't in our favor we had a great time on this tour. Livio, our guide, knew a great deal about the local plant and animal life. Definitely need to keep an eye on the forecast, and bring extra layers just as a precaution.”

“
Great rain forest experience.
You need moderate level of fitness though.
Tiring but exhilarating!”

“
Tour did not go ahead as I was the only one booked on it.
They upgraded me to the Moreton Island Adventure Day. AWESOME. 5 STAR RATING.
A ferry to the island, snorkelling at the wreck (amazing fish), tasty lunch then sand surfing.
I still cannot believe I surfed down that sandblow on a piece of waxed hardboard!
I would never have chosen to go on this trip (I am 60) however I had a fantastic day and loved every minute.”

“
Be fit, bring water and then really enjoy. You will not see glow worms in the day light at all.”
Katherine S • Submitted 26 Dec 2013

“
Our guide was full of knowledge, and went far beyond what is expected of a tour guide! The wonder of the glow-worm cave was like stepping into a different universe.”

“
Thanks Nathan for upgrading our tour to Moreton Island when the Springbrook trip was cancelled due to certain transportation issue. Nathan was a very friendly, knowledgeble, entertaining and funny guy. We really had a great time snokeling at the wrecked ship, nice lunch prepared by Nathan himself, and wonderful sandboarding experience! We get to ride Tina his 4WD while enjoying the nice scenary of Moreton Island! Indeed it's a totally recommended trip!”
