Great feel of Shanghai....great tour and guide

My tour ended up being a private tour, including a guide, driver and lunch. The tour guide was very flexible to what my interests were and how much time I wished to stay at each attraction. I think that receiving a truly private tour may be a bit rare, but as I was in the offseason January, it was great timing. I'd highly recommend!

Really good small group, good whisyestop tour of Shanghai if you are only there for a short time, Joy our guide was very knowledgable, it was a very hot day but we managed ok! Did have a couple of shopping stops but were allowed to opt out of the last one. Highly recommended

Whirlwind overview -- great when you have very limited time and Shanghai, or when you want the survey so you know where to return for a deeper look. The last stop was the French section -- it would have been great to have time to stop at one of the cafe/tea houses for light refreshment at the end of the day.

This was the best tour I have ever been on anywhere in the world! We saw more sites and different activities in an 8 hour trip than I ever expected. Wasn't a big fan of the lunch though..

Loved this tour. Tom lived up to all the good reviews here on Viator. So much history and knowledge imparted on this tour. You can tell Tom loves his country and what he does. He was so patient answering questions and also giving us recommendations of places to eat and shop.

Timely pick up from the hotel. Shanghai museum was nice but not enough time to see everything. Museum is free of charge to everybody and would be better to go there by yourself and spend more time. We were a little bit rushed thru the Jade Buddha Temple, impressive Temple. Lunch was good and walk on the Bund was short as well as the walk thru French Concession. Good tour if u r short time in Shanghai.

Tour guide was called Frank. He gave excellent information regarding all aspects of Shanghai past and present and informed us about each place visited with enthusiasm and was keen to answer any questions asked. Frank added to the enjoyment of this trip which was one of the most interesting and enjoyable excursion we have ever made. The variety of places visited gave a good insight into Shanghai life, in fact Frank made this trip most enjoyable in every way. Cannot recommend more highly. Photos not to hand yet.

While Shanghai is a city that requires more than a day to get to know, this tour is as close is one is ever going to get. Our guide and driver were great, constantly informing of local history yet looking after the group like a wise instructor. Great experience!

This is the second year in a row that I have taken this exact tour. You know it is good if someone returns twice to the same place! Brought my family with me this time. Frank the guide is a gentle and well informed man. Well worth every penny to take this day tour of Shanghai. 10/10

Tom was our tour guide and he gave us a wonderful overview of Shanghai. He is very knowledgeable of the city - both past and present. We were able to see all the major sites in Shanghai and even took a stroll along the Bund. Especially in the Buddha Temple, Tom provided detailed information on the statues. He spoke about their significance, symbolism and history. The Jade Buddhas are definitely worth seeing. This is a first rate tour and is great on the first day of a trip to Shanghai. Afterwards, you will know the places you might want to go back to.
