This morning, we tour the centre of Beijing, China's magnificent capital, including the massive Tian'anmen Square and the sprawling Forbidden City. Boasting some 9999 rooms, the city within a city was once the sole preserve of the Chinese emperors. This afternoon we take a rickshaw ride through the Hutongs of Beijing for a glimpse of traditional life in fast evolving city, and later enjoy a welcome dinner of Peking Duck in the evening.
Today, we drive beyond Beijing to Badaling, to walk a section of the famous Great Wall. Built in the Ming Dynasty, a 6m wide pathway makes a formidable defence, following the highest contours of a steep range of hills. Tonight, we attend a Chinese acrobatic performance.
Free morning, opt for a walk in the local street market located near our hotel. There are a few unusual breakfast delicacies on offer! Later we visit the Emperor's Summer Palace, set on Kunming Lake and the Silk Alley Markets. After we drive past the 2008 Olympic Stadium commonly referred to as the ‘Bird's Nest’ and Aquatic Centre before heading to the airport for your flight to Xian. Arrive Xi’an and meet our local guide.

Today we visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and take a bicycle ride along Xi’an medieval City Wall. We then proceed to the airport for your flight to Hong Kong. Arriving here, our local driver will take you to your hotel.
Welcome to Hong Kong! Enjoy the next couple of days at your leisure. Perhaps head up Victoria Peak to look down over the islands and the new territories, or why not end your Chinese adventures with a sampan (junk) boat ride around Aberdeen’s harbour and a seafood dish in one of the famed restaurants by the water front.
