The town's fairytale red-roofed castle is surrounded by landscaped gardens, and features grand courtyards, halls and furnishings. The castle's development over the 14th to 19th centuries has been well preserved, both in layout and architectural detail. The mighty castle complex stands on a rock promontory sculpted by the Vltava River, dominating the attractive medieval town below.
Together with the magnificent Church of St. Vitus, the castle is a unique feature of the entire region. The town of Cesky Krumlov is situated in a valley surrounded by the Blansko Forest to the north and the undulating foothills of Sumava to the south and west.

We had a lovely outing to Cesky Krumlov. The meeting point is easy to find. Nice drive in the bus. A overview of Czech Rep history was given to us en route to the town. Once there you are amazed at the sights of the town. Our tour guide was Czech and presented the tour both in English and Spanish. We toured the town and had aprox 2 hours of free time depending on how long you stayed for lunch, which was more than enough time to explore and take plenty of photos.

Yes, the trip to Cesky Krumlov is a bit long but well worth it! The village is beautiful and the tour guide was very knowledgeable pointing out sites on the way up to Cesky Krumlov and also talking with us while we were there for a bit. It was a joy to get away from the busy city and see something different from Czech Republic. Definitely recommend!

This trip made for a wonderful day. We drove through the countryside finally arriving at Cesky Krumlov. Our guide was fun and informative. We had plenty of time for her to give us a very informative tour. We were then on our own for a few hours to roam as we liked. This gave us plenty of time to see the city, find a wonderful spot along the river for lunch and shop in many of the interesting shops. We again met up for a very well done tour of the castle before boarding the bus for the ride back to Prague.

What a beautiful place! Got to see the inside of the castle this time had a knee injury on the previous trip and couldn't do stairs. It's a stiff walk from the parking area up the hill to the castle, and around the hilly little town, but it's from the Middle Ages and the streets have not been modernized. Makes for tricky walking at times on the cobblestones. But if you are not having mobility issues, it's a wonderful town. It's also a World Heritage Site. The tourist office in in the town square, at the top of another hill, across the square from the restaurant some of the tours take you to. Lots of info at the tourist office books and souvenirs for sale. Plenty of places to eat in town if you don't have lunch included on your tour. I've been twice, and hope to visit it again. It's a 2-hr bus ride from Prague, and the tour buses are the easiest and least expensive way of getting there, but that leaves you about 4 hours for the town and castle and the walks to and from the bus. Re mobility issues - I was walking with a cane both times, and that kept me steady enough on the cobblestones. Definitely not a place for anyone who needs more walking assistance than a cane, or who is in a wheelchair.

This was a very good tour. Our guide I think her name is Helen was very knowledgeable about the area and also quite funny. She pointed out a lot of places and made it a fun ride. Cesky Krumlov tour is worth the money. It includes a guided tour to the palace which is not too big but good to see and hear about its history. I will recommend this tour.

This medieval village is everything you've heard about. It is on a hill side so beware. My fitness app said I had walked 10,000 steps and 23 floors after I had walked around the village. Guided tour.

This town is well worth taking a day to visit. It is so charming and interesting that you will enjoy every moment you spend there. Our tour guide was a wealth of information and shared many wonderful stories on the ride to the town and while we were exploring Cesky Krumlov.

I love Czech Republic so when I saw this town popping up all over social media, I knew I had to go back to check it out. Cesky Krumlov is a quaint little town with so much history to it. Although the tour guide, the views, and the whole transportation services were great, I do wish we had more time exploring the tiny alleyways together. We were given a lot of leisurely time in the main town centre but some of us felt this time could have been cut shorter as the area is quite small. All in all, it was a great day trip outside of the city.

Fine. It was a rainy day and very difficult to walk around. The pace was too fast for elderly people or those who needed to have a normal walking spped.

This tour is worth every penny - even if you are traveling when the Castle is closed. Our knowledgeable tour guide made our trip fun and enjoyable while learning about the history of Cesky Krumluv. Lunch, especially the soup, was amazing! We spent the free time we had after lunch to climb the bell tower. It cost a few dollars but had an amazing view of the town.
