This was a magnificent tour. We enjoyed every destination from Cairo to Aswan to Luxor to Hurrgada and back.
The trip on tbe felucca was excellent to experience the local food nubian people's culture and we even cought a few fish.
We made friends as the felucca gave plenty of opportunity to discover new cultures and make friends on the way.
Our guide Momo had excellent knowlegde of all the sites we visited and could answer all of ou questions asked.
I would recommend any tour to Egypt.
Thank you for a memorable tour. ”
First and foremost, every tour is only as good as your tour guide. Momo was by far the best tour guide I have ever encountered. His knowledge of Egypt was bottomless and his sense of humour was what made this trip so memorable.
But just as important as his sense of humour was his love for his country and culture. Which conveyed nothing but warmth and love for others. Egypt was entirely safe to visit. Not for a moment on my trip did I feel unsafe. Egypt is a country of many wonders from All the Pyramids and Temples, to the Food and Shisha bars, to the Red Sea. Every moment of this trip was filled with memories that will last a lifetime.
If you have any reservations about visiting Egypt, please throw them out the window. Now is the time to visit this amazing country! And make sure you find out when Momo is touring because he will make you laugh and help create bonds with your fellow tour mates by turning you into a family. ”
This trip was such a wild ride and an incredible adventure. Egypt is absolutely beautiful. And for those of you who think Egypt isn’t safe let me be the one tell you how wrong that is. Stop listening to that over sensationalized bullshit the media is telling you. Egypt has been nothing but a pleasure. I never once felt unsafe. Yes, there are major cultural differences. Yes you will be asked for money. And yes you will barter. There is a higher level of poverty there. That does not make it unsafe. I never saw or heard of a pickpocket, I never felt threatened and I never feared for my safety or anyone else’s. The police and military were very helpful especially when our bus broke down in the middle of the eastern desert. I will not lie, this is definitely a different way of life then most of us are used to but I feel so blessed to have experienced it. I would not hesitate to go back there. The culture and the history are just magnificent. There is nothing like that fist moment you glimpse a pyramid. Or the absolute joy of riding a camel right next to one. And hearing the excitement in your tour guides voice as he talks about a temple he’s no doubt spoken about hundreds if not thousands of times. And knowing that excitement hasn’t diminished because their is so much pride in the culture. On the Go put together a wonderful tour only made better by our exceptional tour guide. Words cannot describe how amazing this trip truly is. There is so much to see and so much to experience. Go there for as long as you can manage. There are sights there that NEED to be seen and you will not regret it. Just remember that this is a different country with a different way of life. You shouldn’t judge it based on how you live at home. And as our exceptional tour guide always said “It’s not wrong, it’s just different”. Thank you for the most amazing adventure Egypt and On the Go! I hope to see you in the future ❤️ 🇪🇬 ”
This was my first group tour and I cannot recommend On The Go enough! The pace of the tour was fantastic, was so well organised from start to finish. Everything ran so smoothly and I loved that there was room to adjust the itinerary to suit the day and the group as well as plenty of time explore the sites on our own.
Our guide, Momo, turned out to be one of the highlights of the tour. He worked so hard to ensure that we bonded as a group, organise night activities for us to do if we wanted and I left Egypt with a whole new travel family. Momo's knowledge on the history of Egypt - both ancient and modern is unsurpassed there was never a question that he wasn't able to answer and made it so.
Overall the tour was great, i would also highly recommend doing the Felucca, the 2 days we had on board here were amazing, swimming in the Nile and bonding with the local Nubian people is a memory I will treasure.
We had one small issue during our 13 day journey which was a broken down bus on our way to Hurghada which I have to highlight just how good OTG were with dealing with this, organising an escort to take us to a Police stop, providing us with water and snacks while we waited for a new bus to meet us, which arrived in half the expected time. I cannot wait to book my next OTG adventure”
What can I say that hasn't already been touched upon by other reviewers other than to express my sincere thanks to On The Go Tours.
From my initial experience with this company which involved calling into various contact centers in Australia and the UK numerous times to handle my complex booking (Tim + Rachna were super patient), to navigating through customs and baggage claims at the airport with care by Ahmed, to the well planned itinerary (2 days on a felucca - not one day like other companies - BRILLIANT), to the much needed down time at the Red Sea), to the quality of the accommodations, and last but not least to our phenomenal Egyptologist...who is not 'just' your host on tour but a friend - MOMO - "King Ramses" was a stellar experience from beginning to end.
Make that journey to Egypt and you will leave with memories to last a lifetime. ”
All the guides are incredibly knowledgeable. Our main guide Dino is most ablidging and made us feel very safe, welcomed and always kept us informed with tips and tricks. Always had our comfort and safety as highest priority. Cannot say highly enough about the guides professionalism, enthusiasm and passion about their country.”
Our tour was excellent, So many amazing places to see and explore. So much history and culture to learn about and embrace.
Our tour guide was phenomenal - Momo really made this trip incredible! His passion for what he does is overwhelming to say the least, he kept everyone engaged and excited about all of the sites and the information he had about Egypt was incredible, I would definitely come back to Egypt..... I know there is still so much more I want to see.”
The moment you step of the plane you are met by a On The Go representative who sees you through all the immigration, visa and customs drama and on to the hotel. Best transfer ever!
At the hotel you meet your tour guide, who for me happened to be Momo. The best tour guide ever, who for the next week filled our days and nights with the history of and culture of Egypt. Going above and beyond what was on the itinerary, filling all his free time with extra experiences for us to trully experience Egypt.
Egypt itself was spectacular. At no point did i feel unsafe. Over run by vendors pedaling their wares, certainly, but thats part of the experience. Exceedingly hot and in need a cold drink, absolutely, but I did go in the hottest part of the year, the upside of this was alot less tourists, giving us an amazing opportunity to immerse ourselves in the history and experience. If you can handle the the heat, it is the best time to go!
Overall, what an amazing experience. Thank you On The Go Egypt. ”
It was a great tour. Our guide Momo was excellent. I found him to be very passionate about Egypt and kept us excited about each new temple or place we went to. Egypt seemed to be very safe and there was a security presence in most places. I would certainly recommend this tour with this guide.”
Egypt is a beautiful, the buildings history is awe inspiring and completely boggles your Brain with the age! Momo was great, informative and loves his country. I had an amazing time, we were on the go all the time, so prepare everything the night before from the very first day!
Half our group split up on the boat section I have to say we got the better bargain on the felluca had an extra night, swam in the nile (which is freezing) spent time with the Nubian sailors who also made beautiful food, they also protect you with mossie nets!!
Abu simbel was worth the early start.
Hurghada was new and shiny, but snorkeling was amazing- don’t miss out on this.
Recommendations- try and get small currencies ASAP. Public toilets are something to be desired- toilet roll, hand sanitizer and wipes and change EGP 2 Preparation make sure day bags ready to go-first day I still had books from flying etc
I never once felt scared, worried! Egyptian people are very friendly! Hagglers still try and drag you in shops. Egypt is beautiful, I will eventually be back.”
