I booked this tour just 3 weeks before the departure date and it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Personally, travelling to Egypt was a childhood dream come true. The rich history and magical element of the country is unlike anywhere else in the world. The awe inspiring archaeological sites of ancient Egypt blew me away and has left me wanting to return to see more. From the moment I arrived in Egypt I felt welcomed and safe at all times. The tour representatives whom I encountered were all very friendly and approachable people. Our wonderful tour guide Momo is a humble and genuine person who went above and beyond to make sure everybody’s individual needs were catered for during the tour. Momo possesses a wealth of knowledge about the history of ancient Egypt and is evidently passionate about his career as a tour guide. Momo incorporates the perfect balance of professionalism and humour into his role as a tour guide, which has made the tour informative, enjoyable and fun! Overall my experience in Egypt was everything that I had hoped for and more thanks to Momo, who made the tour a truly special and an unforgettable experience for everyone. I highly recommend this tour to anybody who wants to experience the best of Egypt for themselves. I look forward to the day I return to this beautiful country.

Momo was extremely knowledgeable of his country and its history and took great care in looking after us and entertain us. Most impressive was his genuine passion for what he was doing.

Egypt its self was a dream come true. I felt very safe and at no time did I feel like I was under any threat. That said, the tour seemed just a little sanitized with virtually no exposure to anything Egyptian other than the tourist spots. Perhaps that's just a precaution.

All and all, if you have desire to go to Egypt. DO IT. Do it with ON THE GO, and request Momo if you can.

The tour through Egypt was awesome with our guide, Dino, who showed us so much about his country. All the information he supplied was relevant and proved how passionate he was imparting his knowledge on culture and ancient Egypt to us, making sure we where secure at all times, and of course that we had fun. Definitely recommend the Egyptian leg of the tour and Dino for being deserving of being recognised for the great tour guide that he is. A message board for each group would be a great idea for the exchanging of photos etc.

Had my dream come true to actually visit Egypt. Momo was extremely knowledgeable and VERY passionate about his culture and his country which was shared with us openly and honestly. He ran the tour very professionally. He made sure we experienced everything we could and bought alive the history of the temples and tombs in an easy to understand way. Our group started as strangers and ended as "family". Thanks Momo...you are THE best guide.

Thanks for making our trip of a lifetime so awesome x

Where do I start? This was a true trip of a lifetime that blew me away with how amazing it was. Egypt is amazing and I felt totally safe at all times. My tour guide Haytham was exceptional and went out of his way to provide for our group's desire to get off the beaten track and into the back streets for an authentic experience of Egyptian culture - he deserves every accolade and more. In Jordan Ogla was also excellent and was on hand to help us get the most out of our trip, ensuring we all had fun at every location. The narrative of the tour was stronger in Egypt and I think this was partly the subject matter but also Haytham's skill in bringing the ancient monuments to life with interesting and engaging stories. The Jordan portion of the trip was more focussed on fun experiences followed by relaxation at the dead sea. I personally think that the trip could have left out Hurgada in favour of an extra night or two in Cairo to see more of the city, spend more time at the museum and perhaps visit the famous Khan El Khalili market. Hurgada was a long way to go (both there and back) and didn't have the same culture/adventure/archaeology feel as the rest of the trip. It also felt very rushed on the day we transferred with a 6h drive back to Cairo for 2h at the museum and then 2h drive to the airport to fly to Jordan before another long drive to Wadi Musa. We were exhausted and dehydrated by the end of that day. Is there a sleeper train between Luxor and Cairo like the one we did between Cairo and Aswan?

All up the trip was amazing and I will certainly be booking with On The Go again - thank you for an amazing experience.

Thank you on the go for the awesome trip! The tour was very well structured and we finished it feeling mind blown and at our hearts content. Our tour leader MOMO is what would make us believe ON THE GO is the way to go! The felluca was a bit too much for me , if it was just one night could be better. However, our guide made up for it with his funny company and amount of knowledge and passion about Egypt . We felt like we got more than what we paid for from day 1 as we were getting a uni lecture at each site. He even created little activities for us everyday to enjoy and remember the history of Egypt better.

Dear OnTheGo,

Dino is by far the best tour guide we have ever had. His knowledge of Egypt was exceptional and was so detailed. Not only about the tour but also about in Egypt in general. I learnt so much on this trip which is a huge bonus. Dino went out of his way to make sure that we felt comfortable with everything we did and everywhere we went. He was also very thoughtful as to when to take a break (mid summer in Egypt is a big shock to tourists) and even took us to spots to eat even when he was fasting on Ramadan. Dino really made you feel like you were travelling with a mate and even though the tour was somewhat strenuous at times, he made it feel relaxed. Dino certainly deserves to win the Tour Guide of the Year award of which I'm sure my fellow tour group would agree if they have not already.

Thank you Dino for a fantastic trip that we will not forget. We will definitely recommend On The Go tours, they did a great job. Oh and a special mention to Ahmed too, he did a fantastic job getting us set up / depart for the trip. Thank you Ahmed.
