Start your Bordeaux wine tasting and workshop with an excellent introduction to French wine from your expert wine educator. As you taste four different wines, learn about the unique characteristics of France’s main wine regions such as Bordeaux, Burgundy, Côtes du Rhône and the Loire Valley. Gain insight into the terms ‘terroir’ and ‘appellation’ and learn how to read a French wine label.

Next, enjoy a tasting session of two more wines to discover how to analyze various aspects of wine including its color, smell and taste, and develop your own personal preferences of aroma and flavor.

Finish the session with a wine-blending workshop using two leading varieties of Bordeaux, Merlot and cabernet sauvignon. Learn how to recognize and describe the wines and create your own vintage of wine according to your personal tastes by blending different varieties. Taste two more French wines as you enjoy a typical French appetizer platter of cheese, saucisson (sausage) and fresh bread.

Your wine educator will be available to answer any questions you may have during the session. At the end, you will receive a diploma as a reminder of your Bordeaux wine experience.

The host was fantastic, she was engaging and passionate on her subject and we all had a fantastic time because of it. The tasting is great and the opportunity to blend for yourself gives a real insight in to Bordeaux wines. Great as a first stop before heading out to the vineyards.

We had a wonderful time learning about the different wine regions of France with Colas, who was very knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun and engaging. Finding out about the Bordeaux wine region and how they categorize and label their wines was fascinating and I would definitely recommend this workshop to anyone who has an interest in regional wines.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Bordeaux wine tasting experience! The teacher was patient and knowledgeable. We particularly enjoyed blending our own wine. After getting a solid introduction to the regions we drove around to different vineyards in confidence. My fiancée said the class was a highlight of our vacation.

Had a wonderful session learning about the various wine regions within France via a blind tasting. Being able to blend your own wine to determine what suited your taste was also a highlight. This a very well thoughtout, intimate experience!! Booked via the Viator iPhone app - seamless.

Pierre, our host was excellent. He had a very good knowledge of French wines and Bordeaux wines in particular. He was entertaining and interacted with all the members of the party. The wines were excellent and the part of mixing the wines was very entertaining. The food platter was nice and complimented the wines. The only draw back from myself was the fact that we were informed prior to the booking that the wine tasting would be held in a nearby restaurant but it was held in a room in the house were we were told to meet.

Our trip with Enrique was very good. He was a very good communicator, had a deep knowledge and enthusiasm about the Alhambra and Granada in general and his manner was engaging. We were very happy to have done this tour and to have had him as a guide.
