Our local guide was very professional and really knew her stuff. Her English was very good which it made it very easy to understand the information that she provided during the tour. We took the Essential Tour, found it to be exactly as described. Money well spent”

“
We recently visited Budapest with a general tour but wanted more of a Jewish experience so we booked this tour through Viator. There was a larger group for the Basic Tour but only two of us continued on for the Extended Tour. Our guide Barbara was excellent and very personable. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Jews in Budapest and really all of Hungary. We thoroughly enjoyed spending the time with her.”

A very young man welcomed us to our tour, he was our tour guide. His English was perfect even though he was born and raised in Hungary. His knowledge and his passion about the history of the Jews in Budapest is also amazing. Definitely a must if you visit Budapest! We have done Jewish heritage tours in Poland and Prague and this is definitely one that you should take!”

“
This was a great addition to our full day walking tour of Budapest. Our guide, Patricia, was terrific--very warm, energetic, informative, helpful, and full of information about the district and history of the Jews in Budapest. We originally signed up for the essential tour, but added the extra hour and a half and we are so glad we did because we saw more, had more undivided attention, and learned so much more about the Jewish quarter. Patricia even made sure we got a daytime peek into a Ruin Bar. She was terrific!”

Part of my family was from Budapest, and i wanted to see where i came from. It was well worth the time and the money.”

“
The tour was full of information and the guide was very interesting. It was a small group of 5 which make it easy to see and hear everything. The gentlemen that tour us on the second floor with all the different items that were given, was extra special because he lived through this time in 1945. Even through he was only 4 he remembers what happened to his Father and family.”

Our guide Petra was wonderful. Enthusiastic, keen to share the history of the Hungarian Jews, their synagogues, the impact of the First and Second World Wars, the people who helped them during times of conflict and hardship... So interesting. We did the extended tour, and really recommend it. Walking the streets of the former ghetto area and seeing the other synagogues was fascinating.”
