Reykjavik - Golden Circle - Selfoss. This morning you'll meet your guide before setting off to discover some of the most beautiful parts of Southern Iceland. Our first stop today is the town of Hveragerdi, built upon a hot-spring field it really takes advantage of the geothermal energy that it has been gifted. Next we visit the explosion crater of Kerid, the natural formation is now filled with water and because of it's fantastic acoustics has been used for concerts in the past. We then continue to the powerful Gulfoss waterfall, these double falls descend a massive 34 metres. The 'golden falls' lead into the Hvita river below.
Later we find ourselves at the Geysir geothermal fields, with hot springs bubble all around the area. The original geyser now lays dormant, however, you can expect to see amazing eruptions produced by another geyser, Strokkur, which erupts every 5-10 minutes. We then visit the ancient Viking parliament area of Thingvellir National Park.
