The service received by Prem and Rocky was excellent. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. They took us everywhere to learn more about the history behind the amazing Taj Majal. It was a great experience.

Our driver, Prem, was very professional and we felt safe throughout. We had Toni as our guide and he was informative, polite and professional. He knew the many spots to take nice pictures of the Taj. When asked if we wanted to go to any of the shopping areas, we declined as we were very tired of being met with pushy sellers. Tony was okay with that and did not insist, which we appreciated. Our tour of the Agra Fort thereafter took 30 minutes, which we could not help but wonder if it was because we rejected the shopping. Nonetheless, we would take this tour again because it was a good way to beat the crowd and avoid touts. Highly recommend Nikita Holidays. Do ask for the wifi on board!

If you’re looking for a day trip to the Taj Mahal from New Delhi then this is the one! As a lone female traveller, getting picked up in the middle of the night was quite daunting, but the driver Dheeraj was friendly and immediately put my mind at ease. The drive to Agra took just over 3 hours (of which I slept the duration). In Agra I was greeted by Adarsh who was my private tour guide for the day... he was fantastic!!! He was so knowledgeable and told me everything there was to know about the Taj and it’s history as well as giving me free time to roam the Taj and gardens alone. The tour of Fort Agra was just as good as the Taj and well worth seeing to understand the history behind it all. There was no pressure, no rush and everything was done in my time. The hotel which hosted the breakfast was of a high standard and the buffet style breakfast was good. Take snacks with you you won’t be eating until after visiting the Taj (but before the fort). I can’t recommend this trip enough! Going for sunrise is beautiful and means you beat the crowds, traffic and heat. Both Dheeraj and Adarsh went above and beyond to ensure I had the best day... Thank you!

My friend and I are visiting India by ourselves and this is in my opinion the safest and best way to visit the Taj Mahal, especially for women travelers! Raj, the tour guide, was very helpful and took some most amazing photos for us! Ravi, the driver, made sure we arrived to and back safe and comfortable. Highly recommend!

This trip was AMAZING. The pick-up/drop-off at the hotel, drive to Agra, and tour guides were perfect. The sites were breathtaking and knowledge of the guide was excellent. My driver and guide were very personable and friendly, which made the tour even better. As a female solo traveler, I felt completely comfortable and safe and was treated like a princess. It was a day I will truly never forget. Thank you!

The day before we were to leave for our Agra trip, another guide told us that it was a waste of time to be picked up from our New Delhi hotel at 2:30 a.m. and be driven to Agra to see the Taj Mahal at dawn. She was very much mistaken. Yes, the trip is 4 hours long, but the driver stops along the way for bathroom breaks, as needed. The time passed quickly. If you think you might get hungry, bringing a snack is a good idea, because you will not have breakfast until after you have seen the Taj Mahal. When we got to Agra, we met our guide who greeted us and gave us an overview of what we might expect. He was very personable and knowledgeable. When we finally came upon the Taj Mahal, the three of us stopped in our tracks. It is an astounding sight/site. Although it was a little foggy, we were able to watch, as the sun came up, the change in hew of this magnificent place. Upon the first light of day, we see the Taj as perfectly white. As time went on, though, the Taj took on the white of the Taj Mahal. As the dawn progressed, we saw the subtle changes in color. Our guide filled us in on the history, and then left us alone for a little over an hour so that we could take it all in, and that we did. When we returned to our guide, he and our driver took us to breakfast, which was quite good. The guid left us alone until we had finished eating. Everything about our tour was perfect. Our driver, was Vishan Sharma, and he was really excellent. He drove well, was accommodating, and interesting. We were extremely pleased with the whole trip. One thing you should know. It seems that the guides partner with some shops in order to bring customers into shops. This was annoying and I ended up going to see how rugs were made. That was my own fault. I had no interest in rugs, I should have said at the outset that we were not interested in crafts. I have done that with other guides and they back off immediately. Just say “No, thanks,” if you are not interested.

We thoroughly enjoyed our sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal with our guide, Rajesh. He was very knowledgable and helped us navigate to get the best photos for our group of 5 women. The breakfast at the hotel was decent and the tour of Agra involved shopping at two shops. We would all highly recommend this tour through Viator.

My wife and I went on the day-long Agra tour and it was excellent. We had a wonderful time. The driver Mr. Prem was very helpful and picked us at our hotel on time at 2:15 am. We had a good drive takes 3 hours one way to Agra and back, and to places within Agra. Prem explained various places of interest along the way. We met the guide Mr. Rajesh in Agra and proceeded to the Taj Mahal. At the Taj, from the location where the taxis drop visitors, there is a 1000 meter walk to the entrance to the complex. We took an electric rickshaw for Rs 50 for the 1000 meters. Once inside the complex and in view of the monument, Rajesh provided us with an excellent description of the history of the Mughal emperors and the materials, construction and craftsmanship of the Taj Mahal. He also described the surrounding monuments. The Taj Mahal itself is a magnificent structure, something unearthly in its beauty even after so many centuries of its construction. None of the photos we had seen earlier prepared us for the sight and beauty of the actual structure. We were able to take our own photos and also availed the services of a professional photographer at the site. The photographer took his photos as we walked up to the Taj Mahal and we continued with our sightseeing after that. We saw the monument in detail and had enough time to spend at the Taj. We saw the Yamuna River from the Taj and the Agra Fort in the distance, where the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan who built the Taj, spent the last 7 years of his life imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb. We collected our photos taken by the professional photographer before we left. We then went to the Trident, where the breakfast buffet was delicious. The next stop was at a tapestry store, where we saw a demonstration of fine weaving and many examples of completed tapestries. We proceeded to the Agra Fort and Mr. Rajesh described its history and pointed out several unique features of the fort, including the sound/echo effects and ventilation. We saw the bedroom of Shah Jahan, from where he had a view of the Taj Mahal in his final years. Lastly, we visited an art store where there was a demonstration of how the colored patterns are imprinted on marble surfaces. The store had a good collection of completed marble works. Thanks to both Mr. Rajesh and Mr. Prem, we had a great trip. Their English was clear and easy to understand. They took good care of us during the entire trip. I highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in visiting Agra. Wish you safe and happy travels!

Our tour guide Mamesh was very knowledgeable and helped us take a lot of great pictures. He also knew a lot of interesting facts about each of the the Taj and Agra Fort. Our driver Prem was also great. I highly recommend the sunrise tour

We liked this trip very much. We were picked up later than normal because of a late airplane, but the company was very flexible and adjusted the schedule and we were also dropped off later such that the entire program did not suffer from it. That meant that we arrived at the Taj later than sunrise but we didn't care because it was cloudy anyway. Our driver Ravi was very kind and knowledgeable, showed us a few interesting monuments on the way back, and drove very safely. Our guide Raj was very experienced, knew the answers to all of our questions and took us to an extra temple in Agra because we showed interest. This is a highly recommended tour!

Our visit to the Taj Mahal was great from start to end. Professional transport from our New Delhi hotel in the darkness of night so we could arrive in time for sunrise at the Taj monument/park where we met our guide Shubham. Shubham provided us with an excellent blend of guided tour and private time so we could fully appreciate this wonder of the world and the nearby Agra Fort. We also chose to use one of the onsite photographers too because he really knows the perfect locations and settings for capturing the special moments of a visit. This tour also helped with "creature comforts" by providing a nice stopover for a breakfast buffet at at nearby hotel. And we enjoyed our visit to a local handicraft gallery where we purchased some special local artwork at reasonable prices that we will treasure. We recommend this tour because it will give you the best use of your time to learn, appreciate, and enjoy beyond just the "surface" beauty of the Taj Mahal.

One of the best tours I have been on. Everything that was stated on the website was according to plan. Our driver arrived at our hotel 15 minutes early and once we were in the car we were on our way. Once we arrived in Agra we were greeted by Shubham. Shubham is such a warm personality along with being a highly motivated and intelligent guide. I truly enjoyed walking through the Taj and listening to him and his knowledge of the area. The atmosphere at the Taj Mahal is so special that it is really hard to describe without experiencing itwhich if you have a chance you must!. Once we were done with the Taj Mahal we had an excellent breakfast, took in some local shopping and Shubham, once again, lent his expertise for our tour of the Agra Fort. All respect for Shubham and crew who do a great job, a true sample of an excellent tour guide!

In India for work and wanted to take in as many sights as I could so decided to find a quick tour that would let me see the must see in India, the Taj. This tour was appealing because it both fit my schedule and offered a unique experience. The main contact, Raj, responded promptly to my messages and arranged everything for my convenience. The car arrived on time at my hotel and the driver, Deepak, was friendly and professional. My guide, Raj, was very knowledgeable and explained things clearly, answered my questions and offered suggestions for photo opportunities. The only negative for me was that I didn't know we would be visiting artisan shops for shopping opportunities I had already purchased all my souvenirs and had to turn down some very unique items. Overall a fantastic experience and well worth the early wake up.

Great tour! Raj was great about texting me confirmation and pickup details. I arrived in the hotel lobby a little early and Prem my driver was already there waiting for me. Was so nice getting there early and not having traffic to get out of Delhi and big crowds once there. Raki my guide took really great pictures with my phone and knew all the great spots and angles. He was very knowledgeable taking me thru the history and details and then left me some time on my own which was nice. Prem was always available to take us to the next spot as soon as we were ready and I felt very safe with him driving thru all the madness. Agra Fort really interesting but really hot so didnt spend too much time there. Visiting the handicraft locations was great to see and I enjoyed learning the process. I didnt love that they try very hard to sell you something, but understand why they do and they were gracious if I declined.

I have relied on Viator for guided tours and reliable airport transfers for several years now yet I have never felt compelled to give a review until now. I cannot just keep to myself what a great job Nikita Holidays are delivering to Viator customers visiting India, first timers and returnees alike. From timely confirmation after the Viator booking process to the end of the tour follow up, the company and the staff provides absolute best service. I visited India for the first time in August 2018 with a very short time scheduled to see the best of Delhi and neighboring states. The company has delivered as promised: meticulously clean, well maintained, air conditioned vehicles complete with mobile WiFi so guests can check-in with friends/family, or take care of urgent travel or business needs while on the road professional English speaking tour guides who are equally knowledgeable and passionate about their chosen fields reliable and skilled professional drivers to navigate the lively streets of Delhi and beyond. These hard working drivers patiently and thoughtfully ensure my maximum safety and comfort in every way possible, looking out after my safety getting in and out of the vehicle. They even encourage me to take a nap on the long drive, to wake up refreshed and energized upon arrival to each destination. Mr. Ravi, my driver for the Agra tour, picked me up at the airport at 2:00AM and welcomed me to India with traditional garland of marigold, he keep the vehicle cooler stocked with various cold beverages for the 3 hour long trip. Mr. Tonney Tony, the Agra tour guide, aside from being a good tour guide, is flexible and patient to allow time for photograph. He also has an excellent eye for photo spots. I was so impressed by this tour and the service that I re-book the same company for a tour to Jaipur: Mr. Sanju, whom I was lucky enough to have as my driver to tour Jaipur, very thoughtfully noted my affection for the elephants and took me to see the magical giants on our way back to Delhi. I get to bathe and feed the elephants and have the memorable experience of getting really up close, even thou it is not part of the original itinerary. Mr. Ghansam, my Jaipur tour guide has poured his knowledge of the pink city and made the tour not only educational but also truly magical! Hes been working in the industry for some time now and that very experience is reflected in every joyful aspect of the tour and interaction with clients.

Our trip to the Taj Mahal was an incredible experience. Our guide Mahesh was knowledgeable, and gave us a great experience. His facts about the optical illusions of the Taj were the best! Our driver Vishan was on time and also excellent. 5 stars!

We had an amazing experience. Doing the sunrise tour is a must. Our driver was Prem and our tour guide was Rocky, if you have a chance to request anyone I would most definitely recommend the pair of them. Not only are the knowledgeable about the Taj Mahal and Agra but they are extremely nice as well. What a great experience and a great day.

I highly recommend this tour. Though you have to wake up every early in the morning, It's totally worth it! We got in Taj Mahal with less crowd and was able to get good photos. Raj was amazing! He acted both as my tour guide and my personal photographer. After we toured Taj Mahal together while he explains the history of the place, I did enjoy the additional time he gave me to explore Taj Mahal by myself. The Taj Mahal was the highlight of my trip, so to be able to really enjoy the place was a big thing. He then brought me to a nice hotel where I got the free breakfast included in the tour package. It has a decent breakfast selection, which satisfied my hunger after walking all early morning. After breakfast we went to the Agra's Red Fort, which was also nice, though this time, it's almost noon time, so the crowd started pouring, and the heat getting worse. I really appreciated that we did Taj Mahal first, for I'm sure it's already swamped with people at this time. After the Fort we went to some manufacturers of furnitures with precious stones, beautiful tapestries, and pashmina scarf. It was a no pressure presentation so I didn't mind going. After the presentations at different stores, Raj then bid farewell for he is based in Agra, while the driver brought me back to New Delhi. Overall, I did enjoyed my 1 day tour in Agra. I fell in love with the Taj Mahal and made the whole trip worth it. I highly recommend doing this sunrise tour since there's less crowd and the temperature was still bearable. Raj was great and very knowledgable about history, which I really enjoyed!

Our taxi picked us up right on time in front of our hotel, at around 2:15am. He had a nice big car with lay down seats and was very friendly. The only weird thing was that he immediately started telling us that at the end of the tour if we want to give a tip to him and to the guide who we met in Agra, that we should do so and it's not included in our tour package. We asked him what an appropriate amount would be and he just said up to you basically. We didn't know what to do because we had no idea what amount was appropriate. When we got to Agra we met the tour guide and had a great tour of the Taj before an awesome hotel breakfast at the 5 star hotel the company partners with. and felt really uncomfortable. Then we stopped at a tapestry and jewelry place they encourage you to stop because they partner with the shop owners and want you to buy stuff - we didn't buy anything but it was fine to stop. Then we did a tour at the Agra fort before declining another shopping stop and heading back to the hotel to drop off our guide. Our guide Rocky was awesome but we had no idea what to tip him and didn't have change so we just didn't tip him I looked up later and most websites say a tip of 300-400 rupees is considered a good tip, but we had no idea! We wondered if we should give them 1000 rupees but didn't have enough and also thought we had already paid a lot for the trip, plus my friend didn't have access to her bank account due to some weird problem. After he left our taxi driver asked us point blank why we didn't tip Rocky and if we were going to tip him even though the ride wasn't over, we still had a 3 hour journey with him! and we politely explained we were not going to tip for various reasons, which made our journey back to the hotel very uncomfortable. Our driver was very angry with us and did everything in his power to make the ride back uncomfortable it seemed. If I had known a 300 rupee tip would have made him a happier man I would have given it to him but I just didn't know what to do. He was so nice on the journey to Agra, and it was definitely our fault for not researching in advance what the appropriate tip amount should be, but I wish Viator had explicitly written in the instructions that this might happen and what we should be prepared to tip. All in all the tour was great but the end of it made us very uncomfortable, especially being two women in the car and at the mercy of this angry man. If tipping is required basically then the website should state that and give recommended amounts so everyone is prepared. If it's optional, then the driver shouldn't get upset about it if customers decide not to tip. I'm aware that the driver and guide probably only see a fraction of the amount that we paid for the tour, which is unfortunate since the driver spends nearly 12 hours with each group, but we just weren't prepared for the whole tipping thing. All in all, the trip was great and I would recommend this tour to anyone! I just think there needs to be more clarity about the tipping procedure so everyone can be prepared. Hopefully, this post helps people as they prepare to go on the tour.

Had a great time on this tour. Our driver Prem came on time at 2:15am and had a comfortable clean car along with water and snacks loved the apple candy. The journey to Agra passed by quickly and there multiple opportunities to stop for restrooms on the way. We arrived at Agra at 5am and met our tour guide Tony. Tony took us to see the taj at sunrise which was beautiful and being so early there was less people. Tony was nice enough to take photos of us and knew the best spots. We were given lots of personal time as well to wander around. After the taj we had a great breakfast and a local hotel 4.5 star hotel. After breakfast we were offered an opportunity to check out local marble artisans, but since part of our group had already seen it and the rest were not interested we said no and this decision was respected. Next we saw Agra fort, it was the middle of day at this point and extremely hot so tony tried to keep us in the shade and cool which was greatly appreciated. After this we asked if they knew at nice textile places and were taken to a small textile boutique, no pressure to buy here which was nice. After this we were tired and ready to go home 10 hours in! The next day we needed a transfer to the airport and the tour company was able to arrange this easily for a fair price. Had a great tour.
