Day 4

Jaipur

Agra - Jaipur. En route to Jaipur we visit the ghostly former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, which has been deserted for over four centuries after it was allegedly abandoned due to a lack of water Thanks to the very durable red sandstone from which it was built, Fatehpur Sikri still remains well-preserved and is a fascinating place to explore. Once an important staging post on the great caravan routes, much of the atmospheric old town which we will explore is still encircled by massive fortified walls. I LOVED this tour. Satendra Sharma was a marvellous tour guide and really instilled in the group his love of his country and made every single experience worthwhile. In a few words the tour was hectic, fascinating, wonderful, comfortable and intriguing. I would love to return. We had a great group and everyone joined in together to make the experience even better. Highly recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed my travelling in India. Satendra was a great guide, very helpful and went out of his way to assist us in any way. We enjoyed his company and wealth of knowledge throughout the tour. He knew how to get us the best bargains for shopping and added a few extras to the itinerary at times which were great. It was a joy to do this tour and a good guide makes all the difference - well done Sat'. Loved it.

Yousef was organised, informative and helpful. Unfortunately he couldn’t come with us on the second half of the tour as there were only 5 of us. The local guides were good but it wasn’t he same as the first half with Yousef as we had no time to get to know them.

I found the tipping issue annoying and confusing during the second week. I would prefer to pay for the whole lot up front as it makes it more relaxing. I enjoyed the different experiences and loved most of the hotels and accommodation.

We were met with an overwhelming sence of India on our arrival at the airport. Our tour started with 21 travelers from all parts of the globe who got on fabulously. Satendra and his crew looked after us wonderfully, his knowledge is superb. The Taj was more stunning than I had imagined, followed by an amazing balloon ride up close and personal to the early morning villages of Jaipur.

The accommodation was always different place by place, which added to the experience. Everyone went out of their way to make our holiday all the more memorable.

The views from our hotel in Jaisalmer are unforgettable, along with the trip into the desert for a sunset camel ride.

Our driver Indu navigated his way past cows, carts, bikes, donkeys, dogs, tuc tuc's, & Tata's with great skill. "Not an easy job at times" Thank you Indu.

Udaipur was a breathtaking city to finish our journey.

The happiness of the people is infectious.

I really enjoyed my trip. The organization and logistics were excellente. The time schedule and itinerary really covered very well the region of Rajasthan throught out the 2 weeks. The quality of hotels (apart from Dehli Hotel Amondz that was horrible!) were specially good as it included in most of the cities visited, heritage houses of more than 200 years history which offered very updated and maintained facilities and services.

What I enjoyed the most was our Tour Guide Nand Singh Rathore. He is a very kind, knowledgeable and trustworthy person. He is an exceptional professional, who always took personally care of all our needs during the 15 days together. He helps us experienced Rajasthan as locals.

I will certainly choose once again On the Go Tour for my next trip.

The tour was fabulous , the guide was very knowledgeable and had very good english .

He went out of his way to do things for us and even introduced us to various members of his family at various locations.i would recommend ON the Go to my friends , particularly the reliability of being met at ariports/railways etc , gave a very good feeling of organisation . This for slightly older travellers is critically important.

Tour was excellent overall. The second week of the tour when there were just the two of us plus a driver was better than the first week when we had to travel with 23 other people although having said that, I did make lots of friends. The tour itinerary was fabulous and we saw so much of India in such a short space of time. Well done to the team.
