Itinerary

Day 1

Delhi

Saturday. Upon arrival into Delhi, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax or independently explore this bustling capital.
Overnight: Delhi

Day 2

Old Delhi & New

This morning, our welcome meeting takes place. We’ll then embark upon a full day sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India's oldest and large mosque, Raj Ghat - the burial site of Ghandi and Humayan's Tomb. Tonight, we enjoy a Namaste dinner at our hotel.
Overnight: Delhi  |  Breakfast, Dinner

Day 3

Jaipur - the Pink City!

Delhi - Jaipur. Today we drive to Jaipur. Affectionately known as the Pink City because Maharaja Ram Singh had all of the Old City painted a welcoming pink in 1876 to herald a visit by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII), it is also the bustling capital of the state of Rajasthan. This afternoon we enjoy a tour of the City Palace and Jantar Mantar - an ancient yet cleverly designed space observatory. Watch out for snake charmers along the way.
Overnight: Jaipur  |  Breakfast

Day 4

Amber Fort

Early-risers can opt for a morning hot air balloon ride over Jaipur, and sail over hilltop forts, regal palaces, sleepy villages, and stone carved temples. Then we travel beyond Jaipur to the stunning 16th century Amber Fort - a sprawling Rajput construction, perched on a hillside overlooks the dusty plains below. Before returning to Jaipur we stop at a cotton weaving house to see a demonstration of fabric dyeing and block printing.
Overnight: Jaipur  |  Breakfast

Day 5

Village life

Jaipur - Abhaneri - Bharatpur. Departing Jaipur we stop in the village of Abhaneri to see Chand Baori, which is the largest and deepest step well in the world. This incredible well has a staggering 3500 steps and is 13 stories deep. Then we gain an insight into local village life, visiting Adarsh Vidya Mandir local school (if open) where we operate our ‘Change for Children’ programme. After hotel check in at Bharatpur and time to freshen up we visit Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we’ll enjoy a leisurely bicycle rickshaw ride through the park.
Overnight: Bharatpur  |  Breakfast, Dinner

Day 6

Taj Mahal

Bharatpur - Agra. En route to Agra, we visit Fatehpur Sikri, former imperial capital of the great Mughal emperor Akbar. Built between 1569 and 1585, it has been deserted for more than four centuries, by all accounts abandoned in 1600 due to a meagre supply of water. In Agra, we visit the impressive Agra Fort before touring the legendary Taj Mahal. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz, who tragically died in childbirth in 1631, the Taj Mahal is described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love and remains one of India’s most enduring symbols.
Overnight: Agra  |  Breakfast

Day 7

Onward to Delhi

Agra - Delhi. After breakfast we return to Delhi, the latter part of the afternoon is free for you to relax or independently explore the city.
Overnight: Delhi  |  Breakfast

I had a wonderful time on this tour, every day was filled with interesting sightseeing, amazing food and so many new experiences. We were a group of 14 and our guide really helped get the group together, he was excellent, very knowledgeable about the sites we visited. The itinerary was perfect, we fitted in so many experiences and everything went as planned. The hotels were wonderful, especially the Haveli. Our guide helped with money changing, wifi passwords, food choices, he really did make the holiday special. I would love to go on another trip like this and am now saving up for the next one.

Had a wonderful trip. Fully packed with a fantastic itinery, we managed to pack so much into the time we had. The tour guide was amazing and really made our holiday. He was knowledgeable about the sights, gave us an insight into Indian culture, took us to some lovely places to eat. Our group consisted of 14 people and 3 people were often late at the meeting point, our guide was polite but firm in telling them that they had to be on time so that everyone could enjoy the trip. I would t hesitate to recommend this tour and our guide.

A really enjoyable tour covering all the points we wanted to see in Northern India culminating in spending my wife's birthday at the Jaj Mahal. The hotels were excellent and the itinerary was well thought out allowing enough time at each attraction.

The main reason for the success of this tour was the management, knowledge ,friendliness & helpfulness of our tour guide "Satendra". He coped with all the problems that individuals in a group our side could give him. He was at all time courteous and spent extra time ferrying people to Banks and/or ATMs.

This was the most amazing tour. I had wanted to see India for a long time and I was not disappointed. Satendra was a wonderful guide and nothing was too much trouble for him. We had trouble getting any rupees and all through the trip he kept his cool and good humour. We also had a great driver. India was dusty and noisy (on the roads) but it was also very colourful and vibrant. The people were amazing, kind and generous with their time and happy to answer any questions or help out. I would go back in a heartbeat to see more of the beautiful countryside. On the go tours was great, I like the smaller tours over others I have been on and would certainly take one of them again. A fantastic experience.

This tour was well paced and covered all the sights as would hope and expect in this area. I think it would have been nice to have had an experience of live music and dancing included.

Sat adjusted some timings in response to requests from the group which was appreciated as it meant we had a good long time at the Taj Mahal which was important for everyone.

It would have been nice to have known how much of the mandatory 'tips' money was put aside for the driver and driver helper as they did a great job and it may be that group members would like to have given some extra to reflect this.

Dispite the fact we had missed the early morning flight from Mumbai to Dehli we contact the mobile number given on our our tour voucher, Gorove reassured us that we would be meet on arrival at Dehli and would be taken our designated hotel. We were dually met by Taj who introduced to BP Yadav who was to remain our named drive through out our 8 day tour and he very patient with us and ensured that were collected fir the tours on a timely basis and took us and collected.

We were met on same by Sahil Butt who patiently explained the various hotel and meaks vouchers and the payments of of our transport from the airport to the hotel. He also suggested a very famous restaurant called the Karim's which was marvelous.. As for the hotels most of them were comfortable but the very best was the Mandava Heritage Hotel in Jaipur and close second was the hotel in Agra.

The tour guides were generally knowledgeable but the guide for Agra was the very best as he took time to explain some finer points of history and never got tired of our questions and a close second was the guide from Jaipur who apart from giving salient historic info but took some fantastic pics.
