Itinerary

Stop At: Lake Como, 22017 Menaggio CO, Italy

Your private bus will take you from Milan to Lake Como in air-conditioned comfort. After a two-hour cruise on Lake Como, you’ll understand why movie stars find the beauty of the alpine region irresistible. Your guide, a local expert who’ll stay with your group the whole trip, will point out George Clooney’s former lakeshore villa, as well as villas that appeared in Star Wars and James Bond movies.

On returning to dry land you’ll visit the stunning town of Bellagio, often called “the pearl of Lake Como”. Your guide can offer recommendations, but it’s up to you whether to go shopping, sample the local food or simply soak up the charming atmosphere.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Lake Lugano, Lugano Switzerland

Less than an hour after your bus leaves Bellagio, you’ll cross the border into Switzerland. Nestled at the foot of the Alps you’ll find Lugano, another lakeshore town. Also called “the Monte Carlo of Switzerland”, this Italian-speaking Swiss town is a playground for celebrities, athletes and entertainers, boasting luxury shopping and fine art, scenic views and a bustling city center.

Visit the church of Santa Maria degli Angioli, where Bernardino Luini painted ‘Passion and Crucifixion’, regarded as Switzerland’s most significant Renaissance fresco. Head downtown to browse luxury goods and rich Swiss chocolate. Whatever you’re looking for, Lugano has something for you.

Arriving back in Milan in time for dinner, you won’t believe you managed to see so much in one day, and without ever feeling rushed.

Thank you Katerina and Simone such a great day visiting all the sites . The meeting point was central and easy to get to . Loved the fact we had free time to explore on our own and the restaurant recommendation in Bellagio was excellent. The food was amazing and so was the service. Highly recommend this tour you will not be disappointed.

I loved this, this was my first time to Milano, Italy. Our tour guide was amazing, and was full of amazing knowledge from start to finish. Very helpful when deciding on food when we stopped in Bellagio on Lake Como for lunch. One of the lowkey highlights I liked was cruising passed the Villa of George Clooney on Lake Como. Keep in mind, everything about the tour was amazing. Id recommend this tour, City Wonders of Italy hands down is amazing.

Our day trip to Lugano and Lake Como was fantastic. Our tour guide, Catarina, was extremely knowledgeable and provided a good balance of both guided tour and free time. Lake Como, and specifically Bellagio, was spectacular and almost surreal. A must-see if you’re traveling in northern Italy.

Our day through Lugano, Italy and the town of Bellagio on Lake Como was a real highlight. Our guide Marta from CityWonders was fabulous. Extremely friendly and knowledgable with a bubbly personality, she didn't miss a beat as she explained many different things as we drove to fhe sleepy but beautiful town of Lugano in Switzerland. With around one and a half hours of free time to wander around on our own, gives you enough to explore the sights and do a little shopping, although everything is extremely expensive. Unless you're buying something especially from Switzerland that you cannot buy anywhere else, I suggest you purchase items back in Italy where it will be much cheaper. After that we all boarded the bus and headed for the gorgeous town of Bellagio on Lake Como. Nothing less that magnificent in beauty, character and wonder. The downside is many streets with cobblestones which makes it difficult to walk unless wearing comfy shoes. The other negative is many steep hilly sidestreets - while lovely and very characteristic, you need to be reasonably fit to climb the hills to explore all the lovely shops that line both sides of the street. Many shopshave signs on the ledges outside the stores saying "please do not sit here" obviously indicating people needing a rest from the steep climb. The shoreline on Bellagio is lined with many restaurants facing onto Lake Como. We had a lovely restful lunch sitting under the shade of a beautiful tree that was like a canopy providing us with a lovely cool breeze and much needed shade from the heat. Then after two and a half hours of free time, we headed for our boat that sailed for two hours showing us all the beautiful properties, churches and wonders of Lake Como. This was nice but a little long. Marta was a truly fabulous guide and gave us a very informative and memorable day. A definite must do day trip when in Milan!

The trip was amazing, Lugano is very nice city, Como lake and bellagio is fantastic. I prefer to extend the time in Switzerland since it is less than 2 hours.

We had an excellent guide name Sonja who made our visit so much better. She was so positive and cheerful and made this trip for us to remember forever. I certainly would recommend this to anyone who want a breathtaking trip to remember. Italy is so beautiful! Viva Italia!

From beginning to end our trip was wonderful. Our guide, Eliza (the self described brunette) was timely and thorough with her descriptions. Her knowledge of the expansive history of the region was delivered eloquently. The scenery and experiences will never be forgotten!

Our tour schedule was in the midst of a heat wave. But nevertheless, we enjoyed it as our guide, Silva, was helpful and insightful.

This tour was a perfect balance of informative, group tour and solo free time. Both locations were beautiful.

This tour was absolutely wonderful! It was so well organized and our tour guide was so knowledgeable! Lugano, Switzerland is gorgeous! You have close to 2 hours there. The chocolate is delicious and a must while you are there. Take a walk down to the Botantical Gardens for some great views. It is free to enter. Then you head to Bellagio on Lake Como, which is adorable. The food and gelato are delicious. There are so many great restaurants. La Punta was so good and has amazing views of the Alps. After Bellagio, you board a 2 hour cruise down to Como. The cruise is really nice and relaxing. You also get a head set and the tour guide narrates the cruise for you. Overall, I would really recommend this tour! We absolutely loved it!

My wife and I enjoyed this tour which covered Lake Como as well as the Swiss town Lugano. Our tour guide Sylva was very knowledgeable and provided many interesting facts about the region. This tour literally takes the full day - we departed at 8:30am and returned to Milan at 7:30pm. Despite this the day was well paced with plenty of free time available to explore Lugano and Bellagio.

Carina was our guide with Riccardo our bus driver, Excellent tour. We had free time to explore Lugano on our own. Loved Lugano. Lake Como was beautiful. Belaggio crowded and hilly. Two hour cruise on Lake Como was too long. Would have preferred 1 hour lake cruise and extra hour in Belaggio.
